please switch games and check if the issue persists. If so, please temporarily remove your controllers and check again. If the machine has been running for more than 4 hours, please put it in a cool place to keep it from overheating and don't use it for at least 1.5 hours before trying again. Otherwise, please use the playstation troubleshooter found on their website.

The 260 gtx is a nice card but ATI just came out with their new cards and the Radeon HD 4850 is faster for about $100 less than the 260GTX.
But WOW uses an older graphics engine and low poly count models with that cartoony look. WOW will run great on some fairly old hardware so if he is using that computer for WOW only and is running SLI then there is no reason to upgrade. He probably has the resolution maxed out and the detail settings maxed out. If he is playing on a 32" 720p widescreen TV then the resolution should be set to a maximum of 1280X768. The rest of the settings should be adjusted to maximize the experience to your liking.
Some LCD TVs to add lag because of the image processing that is hapenning behind the scenes, some TVs have a gaming mode that minimizes this lag. Also your internet connection could be the culprit causing your lag.
In the end you do not need an new video card to play WOW. If he wanted to play Crysis with high detail then that would be a different story.
I had the same problem with mine freezing. It happened when I kept pressing the back track button (on left side) to go back to an earlier song. It then froze in the middle of a song, couldn't hear the song, the time of the song was frozen, etc., and the unit stayed lit, despite pressing all the buttons. I tried holding down power but nothing happened. I read another person's post that you need to hold it down 15-30 seconds. I did this and it worked, you just have to hold it down until it shuts down, which was about 15 seconds as suggested, could be longer for others.
For me, next time I wont keep clicking the tracks repeatedly, I'll simply go out of the song and back to the song I want through the menu.
Thank you for the good posts. Glad I didn't have to mess with the battery like others....
What kind of TV do you have? I've noticed that when I played GH 3 on my plasma TV it lagged until I calibrated it. You might need to change the TV scale to 480p since wii isn't high def. Hope this helps.
