Lg 8500 phone screen has gone blank...can it be fixed

it's still covered under LG's warranty, so i'm sending it back. easy fix!

unfortunately, this is the chocolate's white screen of death. there's really nothing you can do to fix it.

My phone is doing the same thing. My phone hasn't been dropped or exposed to any liquids, but the screens are not working. LG suggested that I send it to them. If they can't fix it, they will just replace it. The only thing I have to pay for is sending it to them. I can make and receive calls but I can't read text messages which is why I mainly got the phone. Just send it to LG Wireless. Call them and they will give you a number that has to be attached to the package and the phone. Within two weeks, they will fix it or replace it. I had to get my LG 8500 replaced, and it was no problem.

THE RIBBON NEEDS TO BE CHANGED....

m8 sounds like your screen is faulty or your ribbon has been damaged in some way.to fix it you will need to open it and have a look at the ribbon if there is any damage vissible no matter how small it means ur ribbon is gone an you need a new 1.it could also be your screen if there isnt any damage on the ribbon then it could be the screen.it could be a combination of both. word of caution: if you try to open it yourself you could damage the ribbon.you wont notice it but its very easy to do.so be carefull. but if you want an expert to do it for try these guys http://www.mobilephoneservicecentre.co.uk/ good luck
