How to wire a pioneer cd player to a olds alero 02 cut wires

Red is Positve = +
Black is negative = -
Yellow is the backup - If the backup is not connected, the radio station will lost it memory if ignition is turned off, and cd will start from no 1 and won't continue when it was last played. - Yellow must be connected to the Battery or positve wire which does not switch off if the inition is off

JVC KD-R312 CD player keeps resetting itself whenever the ignition is turned off. The radio stations are ok, but mybass, treble, loudness etc always resets itself. Is annoying because i ahve to go through...

You are losing the permenant 12VDC on the Radio. This is the thick yellow wire from the radio loom, it has to be connected all the time to 12VDC.

How do you store radio station in memory?

you have the constant power wire and switched wire backwards.
Switch the red and yellow wires around.

JVC kd-s590

you need to have whoever installed the unit connect the YELLOW (memory) wire on the back to a constant 12 volt power source. It is hooked up right now to only have power when the key is on. this is why when you turn off the key, you loose memory.

what kind of car is this in... I can tell you what wire goes to what color if you cant figure it out.

Sony CDX-GT310 CD

Hi,

The yellow wire must be directly connected to an always ON B+12 such as the + terminal of the battery. This wire is responsible for providing power to the memory.

Hope that this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Sony car radio/CR/cassette doesn't hold pre recorded radio stations once ignition is turned off

run the yellow wire to the battery as its the memory wire and that will work if it is installed correctly and still does the same it can be the battery even if the battery still works.
