Model Sony KV-G21q2S Problem-STR 6707 has been changed. After an hour the went down. The fuse and STR 6707 are working. But no picture no sound. When plug in it gives "boo" sound for few seconds.But nothing happens

Before replacing the STR, have you checked all the components related to it? When STR burns out some of the nearby components, such as zener diodes and other resistors will also get damaged. You just replace the components, especially, zener diodes, in case it does not show any fault, replace it. Connect a 100W filament type bulb in seris with the power supply, and switch on the set. This will reduce the power concumton at the begining, and we can check its heat effect also, after all are ok we can connect directly. Check the smoothing capacitor at the secondary 130VDC. Check the input fuse first. If it is blown, there will be some short inside the power regulator circuit. Usually Sony sets uses STR regulated power supply. You can see this STR, and Ic, screwed onto a heatsink. Replace it with a same type and number. Before replacing the STR, check the diodes used in that section for damage, mainlu zener diodes. They might get shorted along the blowing of the STR. Check that section throughly before resoldering the new STR.

HI,YOUR PROBLEM IS ON THE FLYBACK TRANSFORMER OF YOUR TV. YOU MUST REPLACE THIS BUT BE VERY CAREFUL REMOVING THE FLYBACK.

sony has problem with bad picture tubes as well as flyback transformers .if you have shorted hori output then replace it if set shorts it out again your looking at bad flyback transformer as well as maybe leaky tube.

Check soldered in fuse R607 in power supply circuit =
If open, replace it and bad converter xistors ( 2SC4834)
Next, replace shorted horizontal output transistor w/ first Quality.
Solder any / all bad connects,esp.horiz drive to base of horiz.
o / p xistor. Soldering is critical or it will blow up again......
