Vizio VP50 No sound. I've had the tv for about four years, the sound went out shortly after I purchased it. I have up until now alway's played all sound through surround. Curious if there is an easy fix.

Check or replace audio cable.

there's a short going on the motherboard of the TV. Hopefully its under warranty you need a tech to replace it.

This kind of symptoms is an indication of fault mostly in the power supply board. The popped sound was came from a blown electrolytic capacitor on that board. If your unit is not under warranty period, open the back cover and check this part. Blown electrolytic capacitor has a physical indication of fault like bulged/dome at the top and can be easily identify by visual inspection. If you've found it, replace it with same capacitance and working voltage that is printed on its body itself. Watch the video below for more info regarding electrolytic capacitor.

Yes,the tv main Tuner signal board it is the problems and the causes it have intermittents shorts in sides.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole new refurbish tv main Tuner signal boad for the replacement.

You've got to replace the bulb. I've had my KF-50WE610 for four years. Mine just went out again too. This is the third bulb in four years. The bulbs are expensive too - $100 -$200 each

This may have been the sound of electrolytic capacitors exploding. I would not suggest plugging the set back in until you can have it checked by a qualified TV technician. If you are skilled in Electronics and would like to work on this yourself, you will need:
