Formate window xp in NEC laptop

Take one bootable windows cd rom , insert the cd rom in cd rom drive, restart your Laptop , go to bios setup and select boot from cd rom after then save and exit . your Laptop will boot from cd rom . it will take some time , when you will see action prompt , select R ( if your bootable windows cd rom is SP2 ) , select D ( if your bootable windows cd rom is SP3) . if you select R you will be prompt repair consoul , format C:\ then instal windows SP2 . if you select D , you will be prompt delite partition , delite partition C:\ after then select C to creat partition and install windows SP3. either of one windows install like that and problem will be solved. n.b. if you don,t have cd rom drive pls collect USB cd rom drive.

there is an xp usb flash disc version.

2. You should enable boot from CD setting in BIOS
3. put your XP cd in to the cd reader
4. Startup the computer
5. Follow the instructions
Format the partitions or
completely drop and recreate partitions then formt

Make or get another copy of Windows XP CD

For ding this you need windows xp cd

put it in your CD ROM
then press F10 to get into bios and under advanced boot priority change your first option to CD and restart ,it will ask to boot from CD,press enter
You will setup process of windows xp,it will ask you where you want to install windows xp,choose drive where windows vista is installed (c:) ,then first choose the option of format this drive using NTFS,it will format your windows vista and will start installing windows xp and in an hour's time it will be done

You need a windows Vista disc. Insert the disc and follow the prompts. I would format the hard drive instead of upgrading do a new install. The best way would be to go into your bios and make sure the boot device order has the cd-rom booting before the hard drive. Then put the disc in and start the computer, when it says press any key to boot from cd hit any key and let it load and then follow the prompts to install.

You may use a CD installer (i.e. Windows XP driver). Most CDs are bootable. You have to insert the CD and then restart the computer.

Once the computer restarted, it will recognize first the bootable CD and you will be prompted if you'd like to boot using the CD.

NOTE: Don't hit anything on your keyboard so that the computer will boot using the CD and you may now format your hard drive and install a new operating system.

ok first u have press the delete or F2 and go to the BIOS setting and sellect the first bootable device CD rom after save and exit.. after that u insert the cd of win xp. and install the win xp... if any problem cont me...

its the feature of microsoft that it would not let install win xp on a computer with vista. what u can do is completely format the computer and use bootable xp cd and install .

Just go to Toshiba support web site Download the Storage Manager Driver for XP 32 then have an External floppy drive with formatted Disk ,install the drivers Files in the floppy connect the floppy drive put the XP sys CD Boot from the CD as in Solution #1 or by press on F12 tell choices boot screen popup select the CD then after that when the third party appear press F6 to chose the Driver for HDD to get recognized by the system. J
