My Honda pressure washer can't get gas and will not start. I can pour a little gas into the carburetor and it will start and run until the gas is gone.
It seems like the carburetor is not getting gas through the fuel line.
Thanks,
Jim Hall

Rebuild the carburetor. Just replace the old gaskets, diaphragms, needle and seat. You can get a rebuild kit from your local lawm mower repair shop. also, don't run last years gas and if you keep gas in the tank over the winter buy a winterizer and pour it in the tank when starts to get cold. Hope this helps!
Sounds like you have oil in the gas galleries of the carb. Fill it with gas turn gas valve on and try starting it a few times with starting fluid to help rince/thin them out so gas can flow through them again. It may smoke more than usual for a while. Dont keep it running on the starting fluid though as it has no lubrication for the cylinder/rings and could scar the cylinder walls. If that doesnt work you can remove it and try to do it manually with a can of carb cleaner or get a new carb. They're on ebay for about $20 or a small engine supllier near you will have one for about the same or a little higher.
If you left the gas setting in the carb your carburetor may be gummed up drain the gas put new gas in and removevair filter ur just a little gas down the carb. And see if will start if it does pour a little mechanic in a bottle in the gas tank that will clean out the system.
you can try and remove the old gas the carburetor and perhaps the fuel filter are most likly fouled with gunk from the old gas. When gas sits, over time it forms a thick gummy deposit that can clog carburetors, and anything else. try fresh gas with some carburetor cleaner (NOT the kind in the spray can) mixed in. It may need to have the carburetor rebuilt or replaced.
Some suggestions: Is the gas old? If in doubt replace it. Try removing the air filter and spraying carburetor cleaner into the carb Then try starting it. If it runs for just a minute, then stops, the carburetor needs cleaning.
did you pour all of the old gas out before you started to use it. Sometimes condensation builds up in gas tank when stored. You need to dump old gas an put in new gas.
You can try spraying some carburetor cleaner into the carb. If it starts for a minute, your carburetor need cleaning. When you added new gas did you remove the old gas first? Is the air filter clean?
