The Headset Lifter won't pick up the calls. Nothing happens when I push the ear button to lift it up. I thought maybe it wasn't fully charged when I tried it yesterday. At that point, I made sure the headset was fully in the cradle for a charge. After 24 hours of charging, it is still not working.

If the CS70 headset has a charge and beeps when you press the call control button, you may just need to re-pair or re-subscribe the headset to the base unit. Here is a link for the pairing / subscription instructions:

Plantronics CS70 Pairing Instructions

If the headset is not charging, the internal battery may be worn out and the headset may need to be replaced (the battery is hard wired and is not replaceable). The replacement headset is model 72910-01. Below is a link where you can purchase the replacement headset.

I use the handset lifter for the phone I have (Polycom SE-225). When am sitting at my desk neat the phone, I speak anything above a low normal into the bluetooth headset, like when I am laughing or people...

Unfortunately no. The phone ringer has to be a certain volume for the lifter microphone to pick up the ringing vibrations. If you put it to low, you will not be alerted to the incoming calls. When you're at your desk and can see the incoming calls, maybe then you can lower the telephone ringer volume for some relief.

Cannot hear phone ringing in headset, only on handset.

The HL10 handset lifer is what notifies your headset that you have an incoming call. If you are using the handset lifter and are not receiving the 3 short beeps in your ear piece there are a couple different things that could be going on.
1. The internal microphone could have gone out on the lifter. This microphone is what sends the signal to your headset that you have an incoming call. If the microphone is working you will hear 3 short beeps in your headset.
2. If the volume is too low on your telephone, the handset lifter will not notify the headset of an incoming call, so try turning the volume up on your phone and see if that takes care of the problem.
3. The HL10 handset lifter ships with a ring detector that has a 2.5mm jack on one end and a small round microphone on the other end. This ring detector is intended for phones that do not have the speaker located under the handset. You could try plugging this into the back of the lifter and setting the microphone next to where the lifter is mounted on your phone. This might help pick up the sound of the phones ring tone.

If you are manually lifting your handset out of the cradle and sitting it to the side instead of using a lifter, then you will not receive the 3 short beeps in your earpiece to notify you of an incoming call.

PHONE WILL NOT LIFT OFF HOOK EITHER WHEN YOU REMOVE THE EARPIECE FROM THE CHARGER OR PUSH THE CALL BUTTON

It could be that the battery inside the headset is worn out, or the headset needs to be re-paired to the base unit, or the lifter is worn out. If you manually remove the handset receiver from the phone, and you power on and activate the headset, does sound come through ? If so, it may be the lifter. If not, it could be one of the other two scenarios. Here is a link for the 510S / 500A user guide to troubleshoot.

Plantronics CS55 requires lifting handset on phone

Please note that your hand receiver has to be off the hook when using the headset.

This is correct, additionally you can use a handset lifter accessory, such as the HL1 or HL10.

Subscribing Headset to Base:

The headset and the base unit are supplied subscribed to each other. However, if you wish to use a replacement headset with the base unit (or if you lose your connection to the base unit), then you must re-subscribe as follows:

1. Return the headset to the charging base.

2. Press and hold both the + and - buttons on the back of the charging base until the red light on the front of the base starts to flash.

3. Let go of both buttons. The red light should continue to flash.

4. Press the mute switch (black wheel on the top of the headset) straight down until a green light appears on the headset, then let go of the wheel, and the light should remain on the headset.

5. Resubscription is finished when the red light on the base is fully illuminated and the green light on the headset disappears.

6. Remove the headset from the charging base lift telephone handset/press headset button if not using a handset lifter. The headset and base should now be connected.

7. If this procedure does not resolve your issue to try a system reset.

Plantronics cs50 head set with lifter has STATIC

Try a system reset:
1.  Lift the headset off of the charging cradle, but make sure the headset is turned off.  It will be off if the green light on the front of the base is not lit.  If it's not, push the call answer button once to turn it off.
2.  Push the call answer button and the mute button at the same time and hold them down.  The mute button is the black little wheel at the top of the headset.  Use the tip of your finger to push it straight down and hold it while holding the call answer button.  A green light on the headset will flash for 2 series of flashes.  Wait until the end of the second series then let go of both buttons.
3.  Put the headset back on the charging cradle and wait 30 seconds.  Lift it back up and try to use it.  If this doesn't work, repeat one more time and then disconnect the power from the base and plug it back in.

The Headset will no longer activate the handset lifter module

A few things you can do: 1. Make sure that the lifter isn't lifting the phone too high.  To change this, look at the back of the lifter, there is a switch that goes from low to high.  Make sure that's at the lowest setting.
2. Try a reset.  To re-set this unit hold down the minus button on the headset and the call answer button at the same time.  Hold them both until you see the orange light by the call answer button flash a few times.  It should then go off.  If it doesn't go off after 10 seconds release both buttons and push the minus button once more.  The light should now be off.  Put the headset back in the cradle and try again, it should work now.

You may need to re-subscribe the headset.

NOTE: Before re-subscribing the system make sure the IntelliStand switch (on the right side of the charging base) is in the "_" position and NOT the "=" position.

To Re-Subscribe:

Won't Stay Connected to Calls

It's probably a problem with the lifter.  Try a re-subscription on the system (refer to user manual).  Also make sure that the lifter is lifting the handset far enough off the base so that there isn't much weight pushing it back down.  There are 3 settings on the lifter (Look at the knob on the back of the lifter).  Low, medium and high.  Try setting it to medium.
