Unfortunately, about the only thing you can do is to replace the switch. We don't service microwaves that often so I am not to sure of where the switch is located on your unit. So here is the layout for your unit, and you can find the correct switch on the diagram and then look it up on the right side.

LG microwave oven Ms-1927c is not heating up. only buzzing sound can be heard.

That would likely be a shorted high voltage diode or failed magnetron.

Replacing the high voltage diode would be economical, but on most counter top ovens, replacing the magnetron would likely not be.
But the service manual is here: http://elektrotanya.com/lg_ms1927c.pdf/download.html
Here are a a couple of good help links:

You can order LG parts from Encompass here but since the service manual does not have part numbers, it would probably be best to call Encompass toll-free at 866-779-5835.

Microwave is making humming noise and started to smoke and stop working

sounds like the fan inside oven seized, causing the smoke and popped the internal fuse. If you have any appliance repair shops around, they should be able to fix it for you cheaper than replacing the entire unit. Make sure you leave it unplugged, I know thats abvious but had to mention. Good Luck!

How do I replace a LG LMV1630ST microwave oven door handle?

Normally you have to separate the door panels (as shown in the attached photo) and then you'll see the screws you need to remove.

Or you can watch a YouTube video (not a video I made) here that demonstrates how it's done.

My LG microwave went completely dead. I is only 3

under the outer cover, its either a 10-15-or 20 amp ceramic safety fuse avail at most hardware stores, the amp rating is on the side of the fuse, if the new one blows then either the H.V. diode/capacitor or the magnetron can be suspects

My LG LMV1630ST has an issue with the clock. The

The first thing I would suggest is a hard reset. Unplug the unit for a minute or so. Then plug it back in, set the clock and try again.

If that doesn't work, leave it unplugged for about 5 minutes.

Is it a US model (made for 60HZ power) being used overseas
(50HZ power)?

Lg LMV1630st stainless steel microwave oven

I'm confused. If it's 6 weeks old, you can get it repaired free.

If it's 1-1/2 years old, the manufacturer will cover the part cost of the magnetron (assuming that's what's wrong) and you will have to pay for labor and any other needed parts.

Also, the subject line mentions a model LMV1630ST while your message body mentions model LMV1680BB.

For Goldstar / LG / customer service, help, call 1-800-243-0000 (M-F, 7am-8pm CT, Sat 8-5 CT) and choose the appropriate prompt from the menu or visit here.

Chances are your problem is a bad magnetron, but it may be another high voltage part.
