My Freetalk everyman headset stopped working with Skype but it works with everything else. Skype.com is useless for troubleshooting. I'm looking for a driver to download for the headset. I downloaded a Critical Update (Service Pack) - the headset stopped working after this. I did a system restore but that didn't help. I have Windows 7, using Explorer.

Skype microphone does not work

You need to check your audio (sometimes called Sound on some systems) settings (under control panel on Windows or Settings on Mac).

Under input (or sometimes called sound recording), make sure the headset you are using is selected.

You might also try using the headset with another program to see if it will record your voice. (Audacity is free http://audacity.sourceforge.net/. You can download it and try recording on it.)

Anytime I try to talk to somebody , my skype stop working. please help me

First thing first, I would reinstall it, or make sure that you have an updated version. It sounds so miniscule, but it usually does the trick. If that does not work, I would contact Skype technical support.

I have my plantronics discovery 975 paired to my computer and my phone. It is supposed to automatically connect when I skype and it doesn't. When it is connected it only lasts for less than a minute...

  1. Make sure you are using the latest version of Skype.
  2. Make sure that Bluetooth works on your computer. You can refer to your computer manufacturer's documentation or website for details on how to set up Bluetooth on your computer. You want to ensure that the Bluetooth software and drivers (known as the Bluetooth stack) on your computer supports the Headset Profile (HSP). It's recommended that you download and install the latest drivers for your Bluetooth stack.
  3. Pair your Bluetooth device with your computer. How you do this will depend on both the Bluetooth stack on your computer, and the Bluetooth device you are using.
  4. Make the Bluetooth device your Skype audio device:
  • Sign in to Skype and in the Tools menu, select Options...
  • Under Audio settings, select your Bluetooth device from the Microphone, Speakers and Ringing drop-down list.
  • Remember that not all Bluetooth headset features may be available when making a call with Skype. For example, whether the buttons on your headset function correctly depends on your Bluetooth stack.

My voyager pro doesnt work with my skype on iphone.

It may have to do with the settings that are listed on Skype. Because you are using the headset with your phone, it should work with the Skype application, so please check your settings. If it continues to not function correctly, try re-pair or subscribing again.

I cant find the installation CD for my Freetalk skype webcam

My headset crashes Skype every time I plug it in. How do I stop this?

Try closing Skype, then plug in the headset first and start Skype afterwards.

I had this issue before and this resolved it for me :)

If this doesn't work, the headset may not be compatable with Skype, or there may just be a problem with the headset.

You could also try contacting Skype's Support Department to see if they can help or to see if it's a known issue that they already have a resolution to.

No sound from my Logitech headset when on SKYPE

Maybe you need to select which Audio device you are using within Skype. It the Settings under Audio you should be able to select the default audio device that Skype talks to. If you set it to the USB headset, it might work properly.
