My camera screen displays a "High camera temperature (Camera will be turned off)." error message. What caused this and how can I fix it?
If there is a memory card inside the cad slot, take it out first. Open the camera. When the "high temperature camera" error appears, after it goes off, "BLOW AIR INTO THE CARD SLOT BESIDE THE CAMERA SEVERAL TIMES. I have blown air manually by my mouth. Then you can put back the memory card back or you can just simply Turn-ON sa camera. See if it work. It works fine for my CX7530 (i got this idea thru trial & error). Stupid kodak service center won't help, they just want to service my camera for almost half the price that i bought mine, & even suggested that i should buy a new one.
I hope this works for you. ----kodak camera user from the Philippines.
Thanks for info on blowing on the memory card, my camera no longer says "High camera temp" it worked
This happens when the camera is cold and just turned on. Does not have time to heat up. This is a Kodak across the board problem with many camera models.
This didn't work for my camera, and it is not a result of the camera being cold and turned on or in some really hot environment either. In fact, I have tried turning it on in various locations and it continues to say this. Also after turning it off and on several times and getting this message my batteries are completely drained.
This error message was generated because the internal temperature of the camera is too high for the camera to operate. When the viewfinder light glows red and the camera turns off, leave the camera off for several minutes, then turn it back on.
