BenQ w1080st. Just replaced lamp, after it has been working fine until bulb broke. Now green temp light comes on and screen goes dark after 3-4 min?

The green temp light indicates that the fan isn't working; some models have 2 fans. The fan cools the projector lamp and protects the unit from damage. When the fan isn't working, the projector turns off to keep the temperature from continuing to rise. This information is available on page 52 of the User Manual available here: https://www.benq.com/en-us/support/downloads-faq/products/projector/w1080st/manual.html . The current link to the manual is https://esupportdownload.benq.com/esupport/Projector/UserManual/Projector_um_User%20Manual_20130529_114725W1070_W1080ST_EN.pdf . The recommended solution is a service call.

If your projector is out of warranty and not covered by a repair plan, I found several sources for the replacement fan with a Google search. IFixit has some videos for taking apart the projector to clean it and replace the fan on some BenQ projectors.

I hope this helps.

Benq w1000 project not turning on

Look at the manual page 34, for the indicator messages. I suspect it's the same problem I have (which I haven't had formally diagnosed yet!), which I believe is a defective fan. My projector had been making a really loud noise on startup, which varied in length and volume. Recently the projector has taken to turning itself off after being on for about a minute, and the power light flashes green, with the temp and lamp lights flashing red.

Ballast error status - lamp voltage too high

You need to replace the balast as the voltages are buringing the bulb out and this is caused by a balast that is bad. The baslast is what the bulb connects to this has a sensor on it that relays voltages and heat back to the main control unit.

BenQ MP610 Multimedia Projector Problem

I don't have the manual on this one, but in general if the lights indicated that the lamp needed to be changed because of hours of use, then until the lamp hours have been reset, the lights will remain. The owner's manual should have the procedure for resetting the lamp hours. Try that and update this if you still have a problem. Also, check to be sure that the lamp access door is closed completely. There are safety switches that get activated when the door is not installed correctly.

Benq PB6200 projector lamp or other problem

Hi there

I replaced a Mainboard on a BenQ PB6210 just yesterday - had all the same symtoms.

No LED lights coming on but the rest of the buttons has light.

Tried every other component from the lamp to the colourwheel , but the Mainboard replacement fixed it in the end.

You'll be looking at about $95 for the part
