IS THE LIGHT ON THE CHARGER SUPPOSE TO BLINK?

the charge imdicator is suppose to blink when you plug the toy to the wall adaptor. if it doesnt blink then there's something wrong with either the adaptor, the adaptor port on the toy or the rechargeable power packs. now i said that the light is suppose to blink. but the frequency of the blinks shouldnt be fast. if that's the case clean the compartments and re-insert the batteries. if you are still having problems try the ff T/S:

1)remove the power packs, plug the toy to adaptor and turn it on. if it turns on that means your adaptor is working.
2)remove the adaptor and try using just the power packs.
3)try using 4aa batteries.

if the toy turns on with only one of the power sources stated above you better call vtech hotline.

In the manual, it states that if the LED is Blinking Red "The battery pack is defective or the battery pack contacts
are not properly mated with those of the charger" Below is a link to the manual.

check the charger, if you plug it in the indicator should blink for aprox. 30 sec. then go solid and when charge is complete the indicator will start to blink again, also if the charger is working the scooter should not move when plugged in, if charger not working check power cord before replacing charger

It is supposed to stay on. If it is blinking then your battery has gone completely dead. You can force the charger to charge the battery by applying a voltage (AA battery w/ wires worked for me) across the charging terminals while inserting the battery. You'll have to take the charger apart for this.

When the flash goes into battery saver mode, which it does automatically, the light will blink.
If you are using the external power source, the light should remain steady.

yeah itz suppose to do that thats how it tells u itz charging

the steady red light showing when in charger shows that
it is charging. the blinking red light when taken out of
charger or turned on and off means it is not fully charged.
leave it in charger till red light turns green.

The Sidekick 3 is notorious for having the charging port go bad. New battery or charger doesn't help when this is the issue.

YOu can get it fixed for around 100 dollars or ou can get a charging cradle that has a spare battery charger. Since you have an extra battery it will work well for you. They are about 30 dollars from ebay.

go for the new charger. Keep the battery, always good to have a couple of batteries[I have 3 lions and when I was using AA's I had 6 sets of 4.
