Volume out of speakers nill

I just picked up a used kl-2400, and after hooking it up to some speakers, it produces virtually no sound. It seems almost like theres a setting where the volume was lowered within the menu, but I cant figure anything out.

When hooked up to speakers there is no sound. I have tested the speakers with another stereo and they work. U plug in headphones and they work. But I can not get sound through the speakers.

I get sound from the left side, but none from the right. I have tried different speakers and different connections (banana plugs or a straight wire connection).

I bought two of these in "non working" condidition. All it was is this: There are two plug-in's or shunt's whatever you wanna call them that come pre-installed on my units that were up/down and should have been horizontal in block marked "speaker output".
Both unit's work fine now. Came from factory that way!

Speaker produces noice/static/buzzing sound when it is off

That means that if too much power is going to the speaker or extraneous signals are being picked up by the wiring, it can come through the speakers as static. Stopping static requires finding and eliminating that extra electricity from transmitting through your speakers.
If you're still hearing distortion, turn down the volume on your amplifier until the distortion goes away. If the volume is too low to be easily heard, the problem may be that your amplifier produces too much power for your speakers to handle or that your amp and speakers have different impedance ratings.

How can i hook up surround sound without an actual sound system?

You can draw up a chart to show where the speakers would go.
Use some imagination and go into detail .
When watching a movie on the virtual surround system , pretend to adjust the volume of each of the 5.1 ( or is your system a premium 7.1?) channels to suite your audio needs.

Use small cardboard boxes and draw speakers on them... some of Moms thread , or some old kite string will do for wires too!
Be carefull not to cross the wires (string) or you may cause a short in the system and blow out your nice new system!

Check that your mic settings in the Volume control is not maxed out. Turn the mic off and see if the fuzziness clears up.

The volume knob from my right computer part Rev A00 broke off. Computer model Dell dimension 2400. Can I get a replacement knob and where?

Sounds like you broke the volume control knob for your speakers (Likely A215s)
Best bet, new pair of speakers as they don't sell replacement parts for the speakers themselves

Speaker produces sound even when the zone is off

Since the Pyle speaker is a 4 ohm device, it's likely that when you have other zones on, the change in the impedance will affect the volume. Check to see what impedance your other speakers are (standard is usually 8 ohm), and if your tuner has impedance matching for your zones. If it does not, that's most likely your issue. You could get an impedance matching transformer at Radio Shack to resolve this issue. Please rate my solution, thanks.

I've hooked up my LG 47" 1080p widescreen to a LG HE903PAW audio receiver / 5 disc dvd player with upscaling capabilities. I have tested the speaker system and everything's connected properly....

I was talking with LG on virtually the same problem. I have a samsung blu-ray player hooked up via HDMI. Even though the blu-ray is outputting 5.1, 6.1 or 7.1, the LG is only outputting 2 channel unless you switch to pro logic. LG states that this is a known problem and that you are to return the system to where you bought it for a replacement. Call the 1-800 number and they should give you the same answer.

Rear speakers no sound

you have to have it set to one of the sound settings to get surround sound , and if what you have hooked up does not have a digital connection ( optical or coax) you can not get dolby digital surround either
if it is the stereo your listening to then set a sound to get virtual surround sound ( unless you have a digital tuner that supports digital signal input
