It seems your new mp3 player memory is already full, you need to delete other files or songs before you added another. If it is not yet full, try to delete and reinstall other songs. Be sure the file songs you added has no error on it.
That the only things you will do, the mp3 player operate normally and trouble come as you add new songs, don't overload it, as it's built in memory will fail.
Thanks for asking.

Thanks for your quick response, but as I said it only has 50 songs, and it is supposed to have 2 gigs.

Hi, my memorex is not switching on now.before it was showing boot error, shutting down, so i formatted it and added new songs and now its stable ie... it switches off in a second after i switch it on...is...

I suggest you update the firmware of the player. The update available at Memorex web site:

http://www.memorex.com/en-us/Discontinued-Products/Portable-Electronics/MP3/Digital-Audio-Player-with-1GB-Memory--Color-Display/support/

If that does not work, it may be a problem with the player itself. This product has a 90 day warranty and you can call Memorex Product Support at 1-877-363-6673 between noon and 9pm EST if the unit is under warranty.

I added songs to my microSD card. when I turn it on, only some of the songs added are there, but the memory is still showing that the songs are there, and when it's connected to the computer, and I go into...

Hi...

These are some of the cause on why these songs does not appear:
- has long titles - you needed to shorten it
- invalid format - the icons appear the same but the type is different an mp3, wma, mp2, wav ... et..
- has a high bit rate - find lower ones
- protected song - look for songs that does not require online verification
- the song contains a video - find a song that only play on audio.

good luck ... happy fixya... please rate.

Sansa e 250 will not play all mp3 songs as before.

Right clicked on properties of song and added artist and title of that song, hit apply and problem solved.

Help

This is from Memorex FAQs:
Some programs put the track number as the first 2 characters of the song title (file name) this will cause the player to put the songs in the same order as the CD (or album for those of us old folks). If you drag files onto the MP3 players you can arrange them in any order you wish in the file view of your windows computer. When you go through the songs on the MP3 player, they will be in alphabetic order based on the file name (song title usually). You can't change the player's settings to play in anything but alphabetical order. There is a work around: People can force the play list order by naming the songs with a numeric prefix (i.e. 01, 02 etc) so the alphabetic listing in the player will put them in the order you prefer.

Stop responding or disconnected

1) Format the player first - instructions are in the user manual
2) Upgrade the firmware

If you cannot do any of the above due to non-PC-recognition:
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard

Problem with SD card recognition

Try updating the firmware, you can download it from the RCA Website (http://support.rcaaudiovideo.com/).
If your computer doesn't recognize the player, you'll have to turn it off, remove the battery and keep "PLAY" pressed for 10 seconds while connecting it to the USB port, then update the firmware.
