I have the coleman portable toilet model number 827A802T. I need a replacement part for the large cap that releases the waste from the tank on the bottom. Is there anywhere that would have these?

SOURCE: replacing filter on coleman furnace L8T

The bottom panel should either pop out of lift up. They can get a little stuck so you may need to use a screwdriver or similar tool. As long we''re talking about these units, see this link:

Memoirs leaking from seal between tank & bowl. Just replaced the gasket and still leaking

In 2008 I bought the Memoirs model that Lowe's was selling. I've had multiple tank/bowl gasket leak problems. When I went to get a replacement gasket this weekend, Kohler had changed the style of the tank/bowl gasket assembly in the current Memoirs model that Lowes sells. I wonder if this is because the old gasket assembly is known to be defective and prone to leaking?

When I called Kohler, it took two customer service associated, but I was granted a WHOLE NEW TOILET with the new style of tank/bowl gasket assembly. I just had to have the receipt for the (3 yrs ago) purchase. Kohler e-mailed a letter for a replacement toilet within about 15 minutes and before the end of the day, I had a whole new toilet in my bathroom.

I'm not a contractor. Just an average homeowner, so I can't say for sure that the old style (large, black, plastic rectangle on the bottom of the tank and a rather thin gasket ring) was defective or not. (At first Kohler offered only a replacement tank, but after hearing the number of times both I *and* plumbers have replaced the gasket, they did authorize the replacement of the entire toilet.)

The black cap inside my toilet is leaking. Is there a seal? Does the black cap come off?

If the black cap that you are referring to is a tank bolt:

If you cannot tighten them, then they will need to be replaced. Turn off the water supply valve, flush the toilet and bail out as much residual water as possible. Remove the old bolts and separate the tank from the bowl. Replace the old tank gasket and refasten the tank with new bolts, properly placing rubber washers symetrically. An added precaution that I use is (after drying the inside of the tank well) is applying a dab of clear elastomeric sealant to the top of each bolt head, working it past the edges of the bolt heads onto the tank. Allow the sealant to cure as per directions. Open the supply valve slowly and allow the tank to fill. Inspect the tank bolt holes for leaks

Just hooked up new pressure asist tank & bowl, turned on water to it,and it want flush.what i mean about want flush, is it will flush but water does'nt go down,as if it's not staying open long enough.

Sounds like you have a clogged drainline or vent-stack. Fill a large bucket with about three gallons of water and dump it quickly into the bowl. If the drainline/vent is clear, the toilet will "flush" like a gravity toilet and the water will drain from the bowl almost as fast as you can pour it in.

If the water level in the bowl slowly rises (as if it's about to overflow) and then slowly drains, you have a clog somewhere.

All toilets, regardless of their flushing mechanism, require a clear, unoibstructed drain/waste/vent system to extract waste.

If the toilet "flushes" with the bucket of water, you may want to call Flushmate tech support (the number is on top of the tank) or check out the installation and troubleshooting videos at howto.flushmate.com.

Hope this helps.

Do the saniflow toilet need to be plumbed in to mains waste? I have a patient who needs a toilet located outside the house that needs to be trouble free

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly.

In short yes it will need plumbed with a smaller drain line to the home waste drain.

The unit uses a fast-rotating blade to reduce waste and toilet paper in the flush water, which is immediately and entirely released under pressure through "small-diameter piping" to the sewer or septic tank. No special maintenance is needed and the pump is sealed for life. This simple and cost-effective alternative to conventional plumbing is ideal for basement renovations and other home-improvement projects. Properly sized, a Saniflo macerating system can handle all the fixtures in a bathroom, including the sink, shower, tub and toilet & endash; even on a septic system. What's more, these fixtures will work up to 12 feet below and as far as 150 feet away from a septic tank or sewer line.

Go to this page and download the manual for the installation instructions:

These are all the installation downloads available on that page:

I have a Toto toilet with a G-max valve. It does

Your local home center should sell a "Korky Model No. R528" to fix the valve without removing it. It's the cap that contains the washer. Replacement is easy and takes just a few minutes. Once you have the cap off it's a good idea to flush the sediment from the valve body by holding a large cup upside down over the valve and turning the water on for a few seconds. The cup will keep the water in the tank.

Let my tank freeze and crack on the perfecta model EZ33 959. Where can I order a new one

If the tank froze and broke it is highly likely the toilet itself may have a crack somewhere inside. You may buy the tank and find out later on the toilet itself it cracked. You have then wasted your money. Buying the tank and paying the shipping is more than likely about as much as a whole new toilet. My advice is to buy a new toilet.
