I have taken my FT 2000 E to my local saw shop for repair because it would not run. They diagnosed the problem as a faulty speed control switch. After attempting to get the part from Freud twice and recieving the wrong speed control both times, they told me it was unrepairable. This machine is approx. 15 years old and the # on the speed control is 76348 8015 120V AC 4005 05 93. Has Freud changed their control and if so how can I get a new one. Thnx Bruce

I have a FT2200 with a bad speed control unit 76348.
8015. Freud no longer supplies this part. I bypassed it, and I am using an external variable speed control supply. The only setback is there is no longer "Torque Control". This presents a problem if the bit burns, but I control the speed of feed. So for, I am getting by. A new one is TOO expensive.

SOURCE: Have a Freud FT 2000

I have the same router. haden't used it for a number of years and it would not start. I removed the cap(two screws). Used a wire to bipass the control and the motor ran fine.Unplug router and remove the screws holding the wires from the switch to the speed control. Disconnect the wire from the motor to the speed control. Remove the two screws holding the speed control to the router. Remove the speed control,. snap out the control wheel. I first sprayed liquid wrench into the hole then replace the wheel. shake the control and turn the wheel back and forth a number of times. Remove the wheel and dump out the fluid. then spray contact cleaner in the hole and repeat the process a couple of times. Let the control dry over night. Then reassemble the router and try it. It worked for me. Good luck!

SOURCE: my freud ft 3000 will not run.i have power to the

First thing to check is that your brushes are touching. Remove the 4 screws holding the top cover on. You will see the two brush holders and brushes. Use a multimeter of the ohm setting to check the continuity through the brushes. Do not press on the brushes hard, just make contact with both brushes and the probes. If you get continuity it is not the brushes, it there is no continuity then inspect further to see if the brushes are worn. At this point if it is not the brushes the variable speed switch is more than likely the culprit. If you are getting power to the on/off switch and through the on/offswitch, check to see if you are getting power through the variable speed switch. To do this do not plug the cord in. Use the ohm meter to check continuity of the black wire to the wire coming out of the variable switch with the variable switch at the highest setting. As you turn the dial down the resistance will increase but should not be disrupted. If there is not continuity at all it is the variable speed switch. You can confirm this by bypassing all switches and connecting the power directly to the motor with alligator clips. Make sure you have the router in a vice when you do this though. It has a lot of torque and will jump off the bench if not secured. If you do not feel comfortable doing this please do not attempt it because you could seriously injure yourself or someone else. Any questions please post back and I will check back on this inquiry.

My Hitachi C10FS compound miter saw runs very unsteady. Power cuts in and out constantly. I just changed the switch and installed new brushes I

If your Hitachi C10FS compound miter saw is running unsteadily and the power cuts in and out constantly even after installing a new switch and brushes, there may be a few possible reasons for this issue: Loose or damaged connections: Check all the electrical connections in the saw to ensure that they are properly connected and not damaged. Loose or damaged connections can cause intermittent power cuts. Faulty power cord: The power cord could be damaged or have a loose connection, which can cause the power to cut in and out. Inspect the power cord carefully, and if necessary, replace it with a new one. Faulty motor: If the motor is faulty or damaged, it can cause the power to cut in and out. You may need to have the motor repaired or replaced. Electrical interference: If the saw is being used in an environment with high levels of electrical interference, this can cause the power to cut in and out. Try moving the saw to a different location to see if this resolves the issue. If you have checked all of these potential issues and the problem persists, it may be best to take your saw to a professional for further diagnosis and repair.

This is caused by a defective switch in most cases, have it diagnosed by a local shop to confirm this.

TRAC is an option on ford products your better off without,
as it slams on the rear brakes & cuts out injectors, in the winter,
if the rear wheels slip. Really a bad invention. When you need
full control in snow,it is taken away.

The ABS is the electrical part of your braking system

As with any vehicle problem or check light, you get on your
dash, you should not be using the vehicle

You have the car checked for codes in a couple of days,
then diagnosed & repaired within a week

The abs & trac could be a bad wheel speed sensor,
you have 4 as well as other items in that system.
