I have a F+P C250T fridge that fell over in an earthquake. It was running when I got to it 3 hours after but had been on its side for that long and has since stopped working. VERY low hum when you power it up, and the internal light goes but nothing else. Thanks

The defrost timer normally only cuts in once every 24 hours. It sounds like your thermostat or temperature sensor is defective. The set back temperature should be about 2'C less than the set temperature.

-The pulley, idler are not line up and may be too sharp edges. or may be some other part is touching the belt when is running.

Probably the result of the compressor being overworked, either because of an accumulation of dust and dirt on the bottom coils or a burned out fan. Both are relatively easy to fix yourself.

I preach the gospel of keeping your refrigerator clean. Accumulation of dirt and dust on the bottom coils can make your compressor build up enormous amounts of pressure in the line and make it VERY difficult to start and run. Clean the coils and while you've go the back off the refrigerator, make sure the fan is running when the refrigerator is running. If not, replace the fan.

Odds are that one of these two simple fixes (which you can do yourself) will fix the problem. If not, you'll probably have to call a repairman.

Shut off the fridge for few hours and check the starter in the compressor which is having a fault. If your compressor is not running well then you will have to see if the starter is heating. If so replace the starter so that the compressor gets better current. You will need help to check the pressure of the gas and the pumping pressure of the compressor. The starter will click and start immediately to run the compressor. If the fridge does not cool the fault will be with the gas pressure or compressor. If not check your defrosting circuit, the timer and the thermostat. SO check this out. Good day

Are you sure the compressor is turning back on. I would bet that you have a tecumseh compressor in your fridge and when they get hot they don't restart till they cool. The bearings in them go bad. We replace those with Embraco compressors. You unplug it and let it cool down and that is why it restarts.

line it up with the posts on the ceiling of the refrigerator with the hooks down when it is even on both sides push it back about 3/4 of an inch and latch the clips. if you look at the side of the cover you will see the notchs on the sides of the cover. hope this helps.

Make sure the freezer fan motor is running. The wires may have come off when it fell.
