Remove the spark plug, plug the wire back on and have some hold the spark plug against the engine if possible, then crank and watch for a spark. Make sure the person holding the plug has rubber handled pliers or something similar so they don't get shocked.

On a featherlite weedeater what's the small green thing that's stuck in the gas cap vent on the inside of cap called???

It is either the tether or the non-return that lets air in, but doesn't let gas out. Most parts are obsolete.

Can I use a j19lm Champion spark plug in a Featherlite series sst25 weedeater?

Hi, Check the depth of your existing plug from the screw part only & as long as the champion plug is not longer then it should be okay. Please leave me feed back: Malcolm Campbell, Thanks.

Will not fire after replacing spak plug

if it will not spark after the plug change, then you need to go deeper to the coil, and the magneto, alot of times the magneto plate just needs to be sanded or wire brushed.

My Craftsman leaf blower 358.794741 will no start. It won't eveen fire at all! I swapped out the spark plug with identical plug from weed wacker & the wacker started fine - thus the plug is OK. I...

When you say there is no fire, do you mean that you can't get it to act like it wants to start? Or, do you mean that when you pull the plug out and put it against the head, it has no fire? There is a difference. If you have pulled the plug and tested it that way, then it is a bad coil, (the part that connects to your spark plug).

However, if you haven't pulled the plug, then give me a description of how it is reacting.
Thanks,

Weedeater FLSST25 FeatherLite 17-Inch 25cc 2-Cycle Gas Powered Straight Shaft String Trimmer won't start

remove the air filter and introduce a little fuel into the intake, attempt to start it with a few pulls, if it pops off a little you have a few system issue, if nothing happens remove the spark plug and observe whether it is damp, oily, black, light gray or nice and clean, if damp, you got too much gas, try drying it out and have a go again this time without any choke. If dry and clean or light grey, not enough fuel. check the plug for spark, making sure the ignition is on, if no spark, you have likely got a coil or switch problem, if you pull the plug and it is wet, and totally gray or brown and it sparks, you may have internal engine issues.

Weedeater very hard starting or not starting at all

One of two solutions. But the only thing wrong is the carburetor. It needs cleaned or it needs a new carb. kit. If you need tips on how to clean, just let me know.
