Turn water off to the pressure washer, release pressure by applying hand pressure to sprayer. After water pressure is released, turn water back on (should not have motor running without water.) then try to pull start.

Why is my detergent not working on my new k5 pressure washer

If you are referring to an electric washer,The wand for the detergent is a double action wand. You usually pull the wand end out for low pressure and detergent flow.

I cant start my power washer. the pull start is locked and wont release to start engine.

When the pull start gets locked, you have to release water pressure from the wand. I had the same problem last year.

I cant pull the cord, everything seems to be frozen

It is possible the motor is seized or the pump component has jammed. The Honda Motor usually has an oil minder(wont start if low oil). So that being the case you may have a problem with the pump. If you are handy and have internet it is possible to download a parts/repair manual for the type of pump involved. Otherwise take it to a repair shop. Sometimes these pressure washers are more costly to fix as compared to a new one..

Cant start the unit ,there is to much pressure on the pull chord when water is hooked up.

Trying to start a pressure washer with water supply on and gun trigger off will be a difficult task. It could be comparred to trying to start a lawn mower with the mower in tall grass. Place the mower on the drive or walkway and pulling the rope to start the engine is much easier. It is easy to start your pressure washer with no water in the system however there is a remote possibility that you could overheat the seals if you take too long to turn on the water. It is a little more difficult to start the washer with water supply on and someone holding the trigger to wand open. This will prevents pressure from building and making engine hard to start. You will not damage your washer if you start it with water supply off if you flood the pump and pressure hose with water first . Here is the procedure I use if i am working alone. I trun on the water to pump and open trigger to gun to allow water to flow into pump and pressure hose. Turn off water (leaving the water supply on will make it a little harder to pull starter). Start engine while holding trigger to gun open. When engine starts release gun causing unloader to activate circulating water in pump. Now turn on water and you are ready to work. If your system is under warranty however, I would advise to use the starting procedure outlined by mfg (hold open trigger to gun however). To get the longest life from unit try using it at say 75% of capacity or lower if your can and use max pressure on the tuffest jobs. Leaving your washer at full pressure for all jobs is like driving your car at 100 mph everywhere your go. Good luck.

Too much pressure.

You need to keep the trigger pulled every time you start and you need to run the water for 3-5 minutes wide open before you start. Zero air should be in the line or this could cause it to **** out. You probably damaged the pump at this point.

Karcher 2400 pressure washer with honda engine. my problem is that i've installed a new rebuild kit in the pressure pump assembly, and now, when i reinstall the assembly back on the engine, i cant even...

Difficult to know from here, check all the screws see if there was a required strenght on some of the screws. You should take it apart and assemble again.
