SOURCE: i have trouble codes p0430, p0301,p0316, p2195 and

PO-430 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2)
PO-0301 Should be a misfire on COP Coil #1
PO-316 Misfire Occured in the First 1000 Engine Revolutions
P-2195 Lack of HO2-11 Switch/Lean
P2197 Lack of HO2-21

I have the same vehicle,only a V8
What you have is a very common ford problem. The Ignition Coil on Cylinder #1 is Bad. You can buy it at the local auto part store and change yourself. About $59.00. You remove the coil cover on top of the valve covers, then the coil. I did one in Feb and believe all you need is a 7mm wrench and 7mm socket. #1 should be at the front of engine/pass side.

The other codes are related and you can see if any are there, after you do the coil replacement. If so give them to me.

I have a code P0430 on a Lincoln after changings all coils on a 2004 Lincoln V6, what caused and How do I fix it?

P0430 is Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2).

A code P0430 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:

  • The catalytic converter is no longer functioning properly
  • An oxygen sensor is not reading (functioning) properly
  • There is an exhaust leak

First, inspect for exhaust leaks.

Next step is to measure the voltage at the oxygen sensor on Bank 2. In fact, it would be a good idea to test each oxygen sensor while you're at it.

03 ls v6. p0430 catalyst malfunction lean bank 2. Vehicle has loss of power and exhaust sounds loud on the drivers side when I get on it a little bit. Do I need a new cat?

Before you invest in a new catalytic converter get the exhaust leak fixed, especially if it is before the cat and O2 sensors. An exhaust leak will allow air in and the sensors will not read accurately. This could show up as a code. Get the codes cleared after the leak is fixed and see if it comes back. It probably won't. Hope this helps.
