ALL OF SUDDEN DOOR WON'T CLOSE. do I need to call repair guy? is there some kind of reset I can do?

The door switch is located near the dryer door and is activated when the door is closed. If the door switch fails, the dryer won't start at all. Many types of door switch will make an audible click when they are activated. If the door switch makes a clicking sound when activated it is probably not defective. If it doesn't make a click, it can be checked with an ohm meter or continuity checker. The door switch is relatively easy to replace and is usually not very expensive. Here is the switch to order if it is bad.

The thermal fuse helps to prevent a dryer fire by shutting off power to the dryer if it overheats. If the dryer won't start check this fuse first. Test the thermal fuse with an ohm meter or continuity checker. This is the most common part to fail when the dryer won't start. Once the thermal fuse has blown, it has to be replaced. It can not be reset. Here is the fuse to order in case it is bad.

Handle Actuator If the microwave door won't open the handle actuator might be broken. This is a plastic part which can become brittle over time. This part is connected between the door button and the door latch assembly.

check the hooks and door release button and repair or replace, when this is broken, the switch is not close the microwave will not START.

If it isn't the gauge in the dash then it will be the fuel level sesnor in the gas tank. This will require dropping the tank to getvat it. Not a cheap'repair, part is cheap, labor won't be so shop around. I know some guys have just got a tank from salvage then they could just swap out the whole thing quickly.

Remove the cover and check the drive gear. It is a white nylon gear just in front of the motor. It will be obvious if it is bad. Tell me - if it won't open how do you know it won't close?

Check to see if anything is restricting it from closing inside of the crevice where the wheel travels and locks. Sometimes debris from trees, dirt or rocks can clog it up.

big problem with sony as you can see im a pro tech but had the same fault with mine. and it broke my heart 4 weeks old and sony dont give a dam ironicly a mate told me slam my fist under the bottom and it will close after hrs of trying to fix it i took his stupid advice and after many hits it closed and worked great for a few weeks

Most likely the door for your kitchen range has a sensor that is not allowing it to heat up because it detects that the door is not closed.
I would suggest you consult help from a certified technician by the manufacturer of your Kitchen range that way they would also be able to check other possible faults on your kitchen range and replacement parts would be 100% compatible.

Usually, power for the turntable motor and the magnetron tube (the microwave source) are controlled by a couple of things. One is a relay on the control circuit board, and the other is a switch that's operated by one of the door latches. It's possible the control board has gone bad or bad connections have developed. You might want to leave the repair to a professional because of safety concerns. Unless the circuit board requires replacement, it's probably worth having this repaired.
