I have a 13 year old PS27123 - recently after my kids were playing on their WII they noticed that the picture had expanded about 10 to 20%. The edges of titles and menus are now off the screen - picture is okay and everything plays and sounds fine - picture is just expanded. No on-screen menu or remote control command or adjustment on the back of the set fixes it. I have taken the small panel off the back and tried adjusting the controls inside - no help.
This problem is called blooming, and it is caused by poor High Voltage Regulation. It usually denotes a problem in the HV section of the TV. More then likely the problem is in the IHVT (Integrated High Voltage Transformer).

You try to play the video tape or DVD. If picture still snowy, the picture tube is getting old. Buy a new one, do not repair it will cost almost a new set.
just to be sure, is it vertical or horizontal? Anyway, if it is vertical, it could point out to the vertical Ic section or some loose contacts along the lines. If it is horizontal, it could be a filter capacitor along the horizontal Circuitry. Mark the high voltage capacitors along the high voltage sections.
We played Wii sports and fit for few hours than tv started to flicker and change colors to green and black and white. We shut down Wii and not TV screen doesn't show any picture. The power is there and the sound... but the screen is just blue. Any one experienced anything similar?
That is an ITC008 chassis and the problem you're referring to is called a breathing picture. One fault I am aware of in this chassis/model is the connector Bl103. I have seen a couple where the connector failed and had to be replaced. Could open it up and locate the conntector and see if it's vibration sensitive.
