I have a GE cordless house phone and somehow I pressed a button that locked all the features of my phone and I can not find my manual...If anyone can tell me how to unlock it and hopefully not loose all the numbers...that would be fantastic... GE model # TC28871FE2-A

I just did the same thing. Press and hold the # button until you hear a beep....this should unlock the keypad and the lock sign will disappear. Its a good function to have when you have kids around.....they cannot dialout except 911 but you can still ake incoming calls.

According to the manual, you hold the SKIP button down for 2 seconds and it reverts back to English. (Don't hold it down again or it's Espanol time).

On the base unit, press the "Do Not Disturb" button. This button is located on the front right corner of the base unit. The button light should turn off indicating that the DND feature is deactivated.

Hi Dont know if this applies to your phone but if there is a button that says memory try pressing it .If your phone does have this feature a blank will probably come up.Try then pressing a number button (example # 1) .If there is no info in that slot try pressing the momory button again.It should ask for a name.After you enter the name press the Memory button again it should ask for a numer.After entering the nubmer press memory again.This should save the persons name and number. Now to get back to this info press memory and the corresponding button # you saved it on.
(tip, press the "talk" or "call" button while that persons info is displaid to call that persons #)

To return the base announce language to english press and hold the skip button for two seconds. To change the display language in the handset press the flash button, then use the CID button to sellect english, then cycle thru the rest of the menu by pushing the flash button until done. Hope this helps!

Here are the directions for your problem. Display Language 1. Press the FLASH/program button until 1ENG 2FRA 3ESP shows in the display. 2. Use the CID/VOL (left or right arrow) button or the handset number pad to select 1 (English), 2 (French), or 3 (Spanish). The default setting is ?1ENG?. 3. Press the FLASH/program button to confirm and to advance to the next menu feature.
