1) Did timer work before and stop working?
If timer stopped working, then buy another one for $15.

2) Is this a new timer?
Is the wiring correct?
Does the on-off switch turn load on and off?

GE 15068 is countdown timer.
Following link has a photo showing example timer:
http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/311ev7wNxkL._SL500_AA300_.jpg
To operate countdown functions, move slide switch to Timer.
Rotate dial to one of the numbers shown on dial, for example 15.
Timer will turn on Load.
Timer begins counting down for 15 minutes.
When countdown expires, load turns off.

How to Restore a Laptop to Original Settings

Are you using your laptop from an extended period of time? If yes, then obviously your laptops' working speed has been decreased. You have huge number of files in your laptop's hard disk which cause low speed in processing the instructions. These files are not affecting the speed of laptop only but they also create problems to you when searching any particular file. Most of these files are not in use and probably these files will not be used in future. So, you should delete them from your hard disk.<br /> <br />What should be done to remove these files from your laptop's hard disk? There is a technique which is commonly used to make hard disk space free and keeps laptop with original setting. This technique is known as "Restoring". <br /> <br /> Sometime, your Windows operating system may crash and you don't know what to do. You can use the same tehnique.<br /> <br /> You can restore your laptop to original setting through the following instructions:<br /> To restore the laptop into its original setting you need a Recovery Disk which comes with the laptop and it is also available in market. Just get this CD and take the following steps:<br />- Place Recovery CD in your CD-Rom to operate the installation for restoring the laptop.<br />- Restart your laptop. Through restart, your laptop will auto detect the CD.<br />- After detecting the CD, your laptop will ask you "press any key to continue..." If your laptop will not ask that's mean there is something wrong with your booting setting, CD-ROM, or CD. Check them one by one and make sure everything is perfect.<br />- Press the keyboard key according to your laptop's model that brings up the recovery menu. Most common keys for the recovery menu are "F2," "F8," or "Ctrl" and "F11". <br />- Select a language from menu at the top of the screen and click on "Next" button. Language selection will show the instructions in your selected language.<br />- Select the field "PC Restore," "Repair Your Computer" or something similar. Then click on "Next" button.<br />- Then check on at "Restore" and then click "Enter". This will start the process of restoring the laptop.<br />- Once the restoring process has been completed, click on "Restart" button.<br /> Finally your laptop has been restored to the original setting and extra files have been deleted from your Hard Disk.

My hp pavilion dv7-4285dx has lost everything, os and all. How can I get it to read the recovery disc I ordered from HP?

What makes you think you've lost everything? Unless you specifically instructed your computer to Format the hard drive, I would doubt very seriously that you have lost everything. Everything might still be there, but a virus has hidden it to make you think you've lost everything. Oh, one more way to lose everything is to interrupt a System Recovery before it completes, or interrupt an Fresh Install of Windows before it completes.

A lot of times the System will think you've lost everything because somehow a setting the bios was changed either by you or some virus and it has set the hard drive where it is not detectable. Turn your computer off then watch the screen to see which key you have to hit to get into the BIOS or SETUP or System Setup.

Once you are in the BIOS scroll through it looking for AHCI that will be associated with disk drives or disk controllers. If it is Enabled, Disable it and Boot your machine. If it is Disabled, Enable it and Boot your machine. In other words just change the settings for AHCI.

Do that and report back.

I want to restore the factory default settings of my nokia 2630 but when putting the default code "1235 " getting code error. As far as I remember I have never changed that. I have even tried ...

Factory settings This is possible to reset your Nokia to factory settings (Note that you will lose all your data). For this look in the manual of your phone. Soft Reset Soft Reset will clear pending errors and bring your mobile to an initial state by restoring Factory setting. To operate this function on your mobile, the shortcut is: *#7380# This function apparently works on almost all nokia mobile phones. Hard Reset It may happen that despite you have restored your mobile to factory setting, the error still exist. In this case, it is recommended that you opt for Hard reset Enter the code: *#7370# and press Yes to confirm initialization. Important Notice: It is recommended that you save all important information on your phone (e.g: memo, contacts etc) To make a Hard Reset on a Nokia phone that is not willing to turn on, just press simultaneously these 3 buttons: on/off + * + 3 Before making a Hard reset better backup all your important information: contacts , memo...etc

Hello, this issue is usually caused by the hard drive in the DVR failing. If you have unplugged the receiver for the 10 seconds already, then the next step to do would be to replace the receiver. I can help you out with that if you would like. You can e-mail me at [email protected].

The first thing to try is a "hard reset". Unplug it from the power line for a few minutes, plug it back in, set the clock, then try again.

Let us know if the hard reset doesn't fix it.

Please reply back with your brand and full model number.
