Amana side by side does not freeze nor does it get cold
I have a amana side by side refrigerator. the freeze gets cold, but not cold enough to freeze and the refrigerator doesn't really get cold. I am not sure of the exact model, but I do know that it is a side by side amana.
Thank you

freezer hardly cold, fridge is worm, coil underneath is clean and its fan is running, compressor is running and has one tube hot but the other is slightly cold, coil inside the freezer box has only a foot length of frost, fan inside freezer box was not running till I bypassed the thermostat to get it running, but no other changes happened.

Is the refrigerator still working? Is there any cold air in the freezer? If your compressor stopped working it would cause the refrigerator to be warm also. I had a problem with my amana refrigerator where the freezer wasn't getting cold enough and it was due to a condenser fan running intermittently. i replaced the fan and was back in business. i would check to make sure both your fan and your compressor are operating...
your frig is not defrosting you should see frost on the back panel remove items from frzr and remove the back panel off and thaw the evap coil if you can not get repair person to your house it will oper normal until it frost up again, generally it will be one of 3 thing dfrst heater, dfrst thermostat, dfrst timer
Check the back (interior) lower half of the freezer wall. If you see a frost build up, you either have an issue with your defrost cicuit (timer, heater, thermostat) or the evaporator (freezer) fan is not running.
If there is not a frost build up on the back wall you either have a sealed system (weak compressor, leak or restriction) problem....or the condensor fan motor is not working. This would cause the compressor to overheat and shut down until cooled, and prevent the deep freeze.
