I have a old (but almost unused) Korg d1200 recorder. Recently started getting disc error messages. Followed manual instructions to check disc drive and still get same results. Powered it up just now to format hard disc (nexy solution in manual) and now screen comes up "system down" with a bunch of code #'s. Help!

First thing would be to check the power supply voltages. It may be the disk drive is failing. Drives are inexpensive, might be worth a try with a new drive. Also check that cables to the drive have not been loosend by handling.

If you contact Korg, they can send you a dowloadable link to burn the software to a disc.

Can two d3200 recorders connected and record 24 tracks simultaneously

I will assume you want to sync the two as one. I have one of these sitting in a closet. The 3200 will record 12 tracks at a time if I remember correctly. I believe the Korg will sync to Midi Time code. I just wonder if the midi implementation allows for start and stop code. Anyway, I found this information:
x2. MIDI messages used by the D3200 Note On (Note, velocity), aftertouch, pitch-bend:
The D3200 uses these messages to control effects.
Program change:
The D3200 uses these messages to switch scenes.
Control change:
The D3200 uses these messages to control mixer and
effect parameters.
MMC (MIDI Machine Control):
MMC messages can be transmitted from the D3200 to control an external MMC-compatible sequencer or recorder. MMC messages received from an external sequencer or recorder can be used to control the D3200.
MTC (MIDI Time Code):
The D3200 can transmit or receive MTC messages to
synchronize with an external sequencer or recorder.
MIDI Clock:
The D3200 can transmit MIDI Clock. It can also receive MIDI Clock if you have selected MIDI Clock for the tempo track and are recording the tempo track.

Card too busy error

This was in the manual:
Card too busy. Repeated actions of recording, writing, and deleting will gradually decrease the amount of contiguous free space on the memory card, causing files to be saved in a fragmented state during recording. This message will appear when access to the memory card has slowed down due to such problems. Back up your important files, format the memory card, and then restore your files back onto the card.

I need a manual for the korg pandora px1

Korg has the owner's manual for the PX1 here: http://www.korg.co.uk/support/downloads/px1_dl.php . The direct link to the manual is http://www.korg.co.uk/downloads/px1/PX1_Owners_Manual.PDF . Note: you will need Adobe Reader or a similar program to view the PDF. If you want a printed copy, print it from Adobe Reader or save the file on a USB flash drive or optical disc and take it to your local print shop.

I hope this helps.

When my Korg d8 power is on 'working' message is followed by Init>?, I cannot go beyond this. How to solve this problem? And can I change the internal Hard drive.

It is asking for confirmation that you want to initialize the unit. The manual doesn't say anything about this... but you should try pressing the "Yes" button to confirm you want to initiallize the unit or press no if you want to staart without initializing.

Hi, I have a korg D8 recorder and that i use pretty regularly. One day i switched it on and it was completely dead - no lights, nothing. I've tested the power supply (the one it was supplied with ) and...

Most common cause are failed connectors. Power inout jack failures are common. Beyond that, tracing out the power input for a failure would be in order.

While this is Mac-related, the information regarding the reset button is helpful and seemingly little-known. This comes from a Korg rep, by the way:
Did you first manually eject the drive from the Mac before disconnecting it by either moving the drive into the trash or using the Eject option from the Finder menu? If you try to exit USB mode without ejecting the drive on the computer first and then disconnecting the cable, this can cause the unit to lock up. Additionally, you’ll notice there is a tiny hole below the volume controls on the side of the unit. You can use a paperclip to push in a button within this hole to manually reset the recorder however this is only recommended in extreme circumstances. Look forward to hearing from you.
