The f2 key dosnt exist on these laptop ....how do i press f2??

Is the F2 key not working?..If yes,start up your laptop press the "NUmber Lock" key on keyboard then restart and test if the F2 key is working. GOODLUCK!

The Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) password is not set by default on Toshiba laptops. When set, the BIOS password must be entered every time you turn on your Toshiba or wake your system from Standby mode. If you forget the password, you cannot boot your system. Prevent having to enter a password or the results of forgetting the password by removing the BIOS password from your Toshiba laptop. Other types of passwords can be set, such as a Windows password, to prevent unauthorized access to your machine.

1. Turn off your Toshiba laptop.

2. Wait 30 seconds and turn your laptop back on.

3. Press "F2" repeatedly as soon your Toshiba laptop begins booting until the BIOS menu screen appears.

4. Enter your existing BIOS password and press "Enter."

5. Press "F2" again to enter the BIOS, if prompted.

6. Use your arrow keys to select the "Security" tab in the BIOS menu.

7. Use the arrow keys to select "Set User Password."

8. Press either "F5" or "F6," depending on your Toshiba laptop model, to open the Password section.

9. Enter the current password into the "Old Password" prompt and press "Enter."

10. Press "Enter" when the "New Password" prompt appears. Do not enter any text in this box.

11. Press "Enter" again to confirm the new password.

12. Press "F10" to save your changes and exit.

It could be a drivers problem... Unistall the drivers from the device manager and install a fresh one from the dell website.. Try pressing the FN+F2.. Still no go.. Try to check whether the keyboard is working.. Still no go - resaet the Wireless card... Still no go.. Replace the wireless card..

Try running a Windows repair using your Windows CD. Avoid reloading Windows if it tries to do that so that you don't lose data but a Windows repair will not destroy your data.

To enter bios it so easy. When you turn on your computer you just only press delete to enter bios. If the bios does not exist you can press also F2.

if u r using laptop then u need to update with latest bios version so u can download the bios update file from the site of the laptop brand example if ur using hp lap then go for hp.com to download the latest bios update. Hope this solution is helpful for ur prob.

Sounds like the OS is currupt and you will need to boot with your restore cd which you received with your system, and set everything to factory default.

Power Up the laptop while pressing the F2 key.
If F2 does not work, try again with ESC, or F10
