The error code E50 indicates that the motor has become overheated, you should give it an hour to cool then try running the washing machine again. I'm also including a link to pdf below with the common error codes for your brand of washer in case you have any other problems

My Kenmore elite HE 4t front loader stops before the spin cycle

Washing machines will not spin until they have emptied most of the water from the drum.
I would check the outlet pipe is clear and the pump runs with no obstruction first.
tip

AEG Electrolux Lavamat 50600 is not spinning here are a few work throughs

Download manual
First off that was a link to the online user manual. If this was the first time using the machine did you follow the recommended first time use procedure by following these steps:
Before using your machine for the first time
0 Slightly pull the detergent compartment out of the control panel.
0 Pour about 1 liter of water through the detergent compartment into the washing machine.
When this has been done the ?KO lock can function correctly.
0 Run a wash cycle without laundry (COTTONS 95, with half the amount of washing powder).
This removes any residues from the drum which may have been left during manufacture.

If you have used this prior to the problem occurring try this:
The issues for not spinning are numerous as to what may cause this and it appears to be a lot but most of it is rather simple :
If there is water in the drum you need to follow the pump out procedure and remove water in the drum. Then there may be a "Bend" in the inlet hose. If there is water reaching the drum this is the possible causes and simple to check:
Water is leaking out from under the washing machine.
Fabric softener is not added, compartment for fabric softener is filled with water.
Appliance does not spin, water in the drum.
Washing has not been spun sufficiently, there is water left in the drum.
Door cannot be opened.
The rinse water is cloudy.Possible cause
The inlet hose connection is not tight.
The inlet hose has a leak.
The drain pump cover is not tight.
Washing is caught in the door.
Suction cap in the fabric softener compartment is not correctly fitted or is blocked.
RINSE HOLD selected.
SOAKING program is terminated.
There is a "Bend" in the outlet hose.
Maximum pumping height (drain height 1 m from the position of the machine) is exceeded.
Drain pump is blocked.
The water drainage system is blocked.
The door is locked due to safety reasons
Probably caused by a washing powder with a high silicate content.
Troubleshooting these are the remedies:
Tighten the inlet hose connection.
Check the inlet hose and if necessary replace it.
Tighten cover by turning clockwise.
Abort the program, remove the washing caught in the door, start a new program.
Clean the detergent compartment, fit the suction cap on firmly.
Deselect RINSE HOLD.
Pump out water and set the main wash cycle as desired.
Eliminate the Bend ( it would not allow me to use the proper word here see manual.)
Please contact AEG Service Force Centre, it has a retro- kit available for pump heights above 1 m.
I would definitely try this as it appears to the reset procedure for this machine:
Switch off the machine and pull the plug out of the socket
I would say no less than 20 minutes
but do this while waiting further:
clean the drain pump.
Clean the blockage
Carrying out an emergency emptying
1 Warning! Isolate the washing machine from the main supply before the emergency emptying!
If the washing machine no longer pumps out the water an emergency emptying must be carried out.
Warning! The water, which flows out of the emergency emptying hose can be hot.
First allow the water to cool down before emergency emptying!
0 Put down a flat container to catch the water draining out.
0 Pull down the flap in the left corner of the base strip and remove it.
0 Release the emergency emptying hose from its holder.
0 Pull the emergency emptying hose out a little.
0 Place a container underneath to catch the water.
0 Release the plug of the emergency emptying hose by turning it anti-clockwise and pull it out.
The water will drain out. Depending on the amount of water, it may be necessary to empty the container catching the water several times.
To do this, temporarily close the emergency emptying hose again with the plug. When the water has drained out completely:
0 Push and twist the plug firmly back into the emergency emptying hose.
0 Push the emergency emptying hose back in a little and let it catch onto the holder.
0 Replace the flap in the base plate and close it. When the washing machine is completely empty, the ?KO lock can no longer function correctly. Therefore before the next wash pour in approx 1 liter of water (pour it in through the washing powder compartment)
steps to Clean the drain pump
1 Warning! Switch off the washing machine and pull the plug out of the socket before cleaning the drain pump!
0 First carry out an emergency emptying (see section "Carrying out an emergency emptying").
0 Place a towel on the floor in front of the cover of the drain pump. Surplus water may flow out. 0 Unscrew the cover of the drain pump by twisting it anti-clockwise and pull it out.
0 Remove any foreign bodies which maybe in the pump housing.
0 Check whether the impeller of the pump can be turned. (It is normal forthe pump to turn in steps.) If the impeller cannot be turned at all please contact your local AEG Service Force Center.
0 Replace the cover (insert the ridges on the cover into the guiding slots)and screw on tightly in a clockwise direction.
0 Close the emergency emptying hose, push it in and twist.
0 Close the flap. I sure hope this helps a few people especially the one who I posted this for initially. GOOD Luck! If none of these suggestions work then best to call AEG for servicing, I strongly believe that the Bend in the inlet hose or the drain pump most likely the culprit and or any one of the other issues may well resolve the spin malfunction as well as possibly the main computer may have been goofed due to a slight power surge which unplugging from electric and turning off water for 30 minutes is the basic reset procedure for most electronics ( not all ;but most) while working through these steps should not hurt a thing.

Door wont open after cycle has finished, have put on a different cycle didnt work either, pluged out maching for 30 min didnt work either, can you help

Hi.

The door does not open because there is water detected inside the machine. Water must be removed through the drain filter connected to drain pump.

Disconnect power.
If front loader remove the trim panel at the base of the machine. Top loader have access at the bottom or at the back.
Locate the drain filter access at one side.
Remove drain filter cap.
Collect water using containers (have them ready, a lot of water will flow out).
Put back cap and trim and reapply power.

Emptying water from drain lines is usually enough to unlock the door. If that does not work, then the door is opened reaching back side of the door latch (from inside the washer's cabinet). Access is from top, after removing panel, or from bottom. Some front loader has an emergency unlock cord inside that can be reached undoing completely the drain filter. The procedure requires disassembling and should be done by a technician.

You can find parts and diagrams for most appliances using the links listed on this page:

We already finished washing but the door of our washing machine remains locked. how can it be opened?

Hi.

If the door stays locked then there is water detected inside the machine.

You will need to disconnect power and to access the drain pump/drain filter to empty the water inside the machine. Water is emptied through the drain filter located in front of the machine at the bottom, behind the trim panel. If the problem occurs again the machine is faulty and must be repaired. Parts such as drain system, drain pump, pressure switch, door switch and control panel may be responsible for drain problems.

Check the position of the drain hose. Ensure that the height is as specified by the manual or you get siphoning and drain does not end.

Access the drain filter. With most front loaders this located in front at the bottom in a corner, there should be a trim or an access panel.Top loaders have an access panel at the back, or more commonly the pump is accessed from underneath, bending the appliance on one side and securing it.

The machine has a pressure switch. It is a sensor connected to a long thin rubber hose. The pressure switch is often in control assembly. Clean the hose and the switch. One way to test the pressure switch is by blowing into the switch, but manufacturers say this must not be done as you can damage a good switch.
The pressure switch is difficult to test in full. Testing is done either reading voltages while machine is working or reading Ohms at the switch with tub empty and full. For safety reasons I suggest users to avoid performing tests or maintenance that must be done with power on.

Most machines have a tech booklet tucked inside the control panel assembly. You take off panel that is held by a couple of screws and see if there is the envelope with the sheet

Here a page about drain/spin problem.

Start checking drain hose and drain filter. If machine is a front loader the drain filter access is located behind the door at the front bottom side of the machine.

If you need parts see this tip explaining how to find parts and diagrams for most appliances: Where do I find parts and diagrams for my appliance?

E20 error on Kenmore front loader. The water is

E20 is an error code for drainage failure.

Check where the appliance drain hose connects to the house drains for a blockage.

If it's onto a spigot under the sink, take them off and check both for a blockage.

If these are ok then it's likely to be a blockage in the pump.

You'll need to drain the water out manually.

Put a shallow dish below the filter and slacken the filter.

Tighten it to stop the flow of water while you empty the dish.

Once empty, take the filter out, clean out the debris and ensure nothing is left jamming the pump.

Before refitting the filter, put the machine on drain or spin and listen at the filter housing to see if you can hear the pump running.

If you do, fit the filter and try the machine again.

Can't get rid of E1 error on a Samsung front loader washing mach.

E1 : washing machine has exceeded a check time for fill, heat or empty.

Common causes for this are fill and empty problems, heater fault (or the wiring
to it broken), water pump open circuit (although that would stop the water draining too) Pressure chamber blocked or pressure tubing pipe looped below the pressure bottle, or a sticking eco ball in the sump hose (sludge and grease build up)

This error code is generic and vey common.Since you have tried the remedies.Try getting checked the internal wiring damage by professionals.I hope certainly hope the problem lies there.

Smelly drain water

I had the exact same problem and all of my clothes smelled like mildew. I switched to laundry detergent for front loaders ONLY and have eliminated this all together.
Run an empty cycle one time with 1cup of white vinegar.
Then start washing with the new detergent.
