Need power board. Unplug then Have to remove all screws on back. The big board that the plug goes to is power board. Get serial number and find on Amazon or Internet. Usually around 150$ replace. It is easier than sounds. Any time power will not stay on or will not come on it is the power board. Tics are now just like computers. If u can change a hard drive u can do this
Remove set and a box if used for signal from power--unplug both for a while and then power back to see if a reboot will help--box more likely than set but unplug both .
The fuse should be located on the primary power supply circuitry on the power supply printed circuit board. It may be encased in a cover, but it should be found on the printed circuit board that supplies power to the unit. I hope this helps.
Check the power sources.Tries tv unplug, replug it back like about an hour later for the tv to do a resetting itself back to the factory setting. The tv now could be working again. If not,the tv power supply board it is dead. That the board where the power a/c cord plug into it.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.
If you are talking about the part connected to the tv, you need a new part. Investigate ! In the meantime use a S Vidio plug, or the red, white and yellow cables to get you going.
check that the thermistor/temp measuring device is suspect, no resistance across legs. There is a label there that says F701 see service manual

it was mounted to the case that holds the lamp. had to remove the back panel, etc. Also think I had to splice in the fuse or something. was a while ago.
i purchased a NTE8115 from my electronics supplier, closest I could find. Radio shack also has them.
remove the back cover and measure for continuity across the thermal fuse
above the lamp housing.
if open jump it wth a 5 amp fuse, be sure to close the safety switch with
the small blue lever then try to power on.
If comes on ok you will need to replace the entire ballast assembly to get
that fuse.
Panasonic does not have a part number for just the fuse on the PT40LC
series.
It is possible to cut off the fuse and replace with another but dont solder
