Sony KDF-42 WE655 TV. Replaced lamp and it now works; however sometimes when it is first turned on the audio and video quit for about a minute and the green light flashes. Then both sound and video resume. This doesn't happen every time and once it comes back on it stays on. It's as if something has to warm up...

You may have a bad ballast. Check to see if your lamp is lighting up through the back of your T.V. prior to the picture coming on. If it has done this since you bought it, it's probably the just the way the T.V. was designed. If it still comes on every time, it could also be a power supply issue, but nothing to stress about.
