I'm not sure what it can be, software not properly installed, corrupted, or whatever.

You can get a card reader for a few dollars and use it instead. Easier and faster.
Download the photos and videos to a folder in your laptop. This will not affect the quality or sequence.
After you've downloaded everything, replace the card in your camera and format the card.

Deleting the pictures while connected to the computer may corrupt the card format.
Please remember to format it in your camera.
In one click the card will be empty and ready for more.

Investigate the cause of Error 0x80010108 later, right?
In the meantime you can process the images as usual.

Sharon,

When you launched the FinePix Viewer, go to "Settings", and then move your cursor down to "Way of Saving", tick the "Make Folder" by "Date", and then click "Browse" to identify the drive partition/folder to save your photos.
After that, click the icon with the symbol of the "camera to folder" on your top right corner, to upload your photos to your computer.

An 'error' message kept on appearing when scrolling through images. The next day all the images were deleted.

If you are using a memory card, take no more pics until you've recovered the photos, take the card out of the camera. This is to reduce the chance of you overwriting some of your "lost" photos. There are many good freeware photo recovery software options that are available to help you recover your photos. This blog article reviews and outlines several of the better ones. AFTER you've recovered your photos, format your card IN YOUR CAMERA to prevent this from happening again.

Hi,
The error message means "The directory or file cannot be created."
Make sure the folder containing photos is having sufficient write permission .

Hope this helps .

Fuji Finepix F10 won't mount onto Mac mini OS X

Best use Memory Card Readers, F10 is USB 1.1 so moving data is quite slow specially if you take 6MP photos. Just get a XD card reader whihc is USB 2.0

Fuji Finepix s1000fd i/o error when loading photos to PC

After surfing for solutions, I tried uninstalling all the Fuji software and using Windows to pull the pictures off the camera...It worked! Card and USB were working just fine even though they came back with errors using the Fuji software.

'Card not Initialized'

I just had the same issue with my Fuji F10 Finepix camera and of course all you can get the camera to do is tell you 'card not initialized'...and nothing else works! I resolved it by attaching the camera to the MAC, accessing the camera files thru the MAC by going to the icon that pops up on the desktop for the camera, deleting the files in the camera Fuji directory, then detached the camera and it was all back to normal. I assume that could have also been done the same way on a PC via USB port, accessing the camera via 'My Computer'. I believe the root cause was: I had accessed the photos on the camera via the MAC and iPhoto, then after transferring the photos to the MAC, deleted the photos thru the iPhoto delete option. This in fact did not delete the photos on the camera, somehow causing this 'card not initialized' condition. CW
