Nikon ventura II - I was on vacation on a boat ride in rough waters, had binocolars on table and it slid off. I think the prism broke lose, because i can't get the two eye sights too line up, it will still focus. Is it worth fixing or can it be fixed?

The binoculars should be fairly to inexpensive to repair if the glass was not broken. I like taking things apart and would attempt that repair and can offer you some basic advice on doing it yourself, But if you attempt the repair yourself you do need to be careful not to scratch any of the lens. Likely what has happened is one of the mirrors has come loose inside and needs to be reglued or realigned. Are you able to hear anything rattling inside the item ? be that as it may if you wish to try the repair yourself let me know.

the alternative of course is to find a camera repair shop near you (they should be able to repair binoculars as well) Ask them what it would cost to repair them. after you find out how much you have to weigh the decision whether it would be more economical to have them fixed or go out and buy a new item.

If the new item difference is not alot (and it's in your budget) i might suggest going that route as a new set of binoculars may have more features and quality then you have now.

Is this kayak very stable in the ocean

Hwello
I read all the reviews of the boat I could find, all were VERY positive, all said the boat was very stable in all water conditions, the only draw back comment I ran across is that it is fairly heavy, but that is due to its rugged design, so really you can't have it both ways.
Having Kayaked in the Ocean many time myself I would buy this boat for that purpose after what I read. Here are some transcripts of the reviews I read

"used one of these while on vacation in canada, and i'm hooked it was very sable on rough waters, and we also took it out and went fishing ."
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

"The Future Beach Freedom 160 is a nice stable boat with a rugged and durable build. Due to it's weight the boat is a bit on the slow side and a challenge to move around. Storage at the front of the boat is limited but could be expanded with a small modification. I am sure that this would be a great boat for fishing and other water sports (i.e. snorkling, SCUBA)."
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

"Love this boat, Amazing Quality, superb tracking
An absolute pleasure to use !!!!!!!!"

I have a 2180 Ranger Bay and I love this boat, but it porpoises alot. More so on calm water. Choppy water seems to make it ride better. I also feel it want to release and run faster when it comes off of a...

I suspect it is the tilt angle on your outboard that needs looking at and if that doesn't do it you might think about getting a set of the fins that clamp on the cavitation plate which should help.
Another thing that might help is you might find you need to redistribute the stuff stowed in the boat further toward the ends as if you have all the weight in the middle it will contribute to your problem

I see two immages. I can not get the immage to become one. I am using a Nikon 8x21 6.3deg Sprint II

this is usually caused by the bino's being dropped or banged knocking the internal prisms out of alignment.

How do iI chose a fishing boat?

There are three styles of regular fishing boats; deep v, regular v or modified v. The v determines how well the boat cuts through the depth of the water. The deep v is better suited for large lakes because they can handle heavy waves better. Regular "v" is more appropriate for smaller lakes and a man made body of water. As the water is not as deep and the waves are not as heavy, this type of boat is able to handle the situation. The modified v is the most popular version. It is capable of handling speed best. Most fishing boats on the market today are made of fiberglass or aluminum. What is best for your fishing situation? Do you want to fish in large lakes or small lakes? The options are endless. There are several classes of fishing boats for different situations. All purpose fishing boats are great for your basic fishing needs. This type of boat has space for some bench seats, fishing gear and a simple steering station. They are made of either fiberglass or aluminum and are between 15 and 20 feet long. Another type of fishing boat is a bass boat, which comes fully equipped with space for rods and fishing gear. The boat is fully built with electronics and livewells. This boat also is made out of fiberglass and aluminum. The advantage to this type of boat is it is made especially to catch bass, fast. The third type of fishing boat is the center-console. It allows a fisherman to angle from any place on the deck. The control center is located in the center. Depending on the size of the boat they can be used offshore as well as near. Flats boats are mostly made up of fiberglass. The advantage of these boats is they allow easier angling access to saltwater flat fish. Another advantage it has is a poling platform that allows for fish spotting. Finally, a casting deck allows the angler to keep control. This makes this ype of boat convenient for fishing. The final category of fishing boats is the fun boat because it combines the motor of a yacht and the functionality of large a cockpit to work trophy fish and bring them on board. If ou are a fishing fanatic then it is important to have all the things that you need to make your fishing trip a success. Fishing boats are definitely the finishing touch to a nice fishing trip.

Moisture

You have to open each side ( nikon travelite covers just unclip ) to get to the 4 prisms. Once opened to clean make sure you do not break the glue that holds down the prisms ( move the prisms in their seats and your alignment is out ). Clean with window cleaner and isopropanol to finish.
