FOR LANIER 7328 COPIER, IF I CHANGE THE DEVELOPER, IS THEIR A CODE TO RE-SET THE DV LEVEL/

I had a similar problem in my service and i have solve it.
The U2 error is due to developer is missing.Change the developer ( 202 DV ) and the machine will work as new.

The first thing i can tell you is that is weird!!!!
Because if you change the developer that error should disappear. It could appear later but not in the moment because the developer already have toner and the TD sensor will read it.
And that's the question: When you said "replace developer" you mean just the developer or the DEVELOPER UNIT??? Is your TD sensor working good????

How are you? This is a problem with front door switch.
Remedy

• Place the machine on a level table and make sure all the four stands are landing freely on this table.
• Check that the front door notch that closes the door switch is not broken and if it is replace that particular door or modify the notch.
• Make sure the upper half of copier is well locked with the lower bottom part.

If all the above is correct, and still reads open, replace the door switch.

The developer is not a toner. It goes in the developer unit, it is installed by a service rep. You need to empty out the used developer & install the new bag of developer & rest the counter & set the developer up to add toner when needed. To make a long story on developer short > it is made up of iron filings & it holds the toner on the developer make roller to make a even coat of toner on your paper... Good Luck..... Zebra striping is typically caused by a bad development clutch. Most likely, the developer and the development clutch will need to be replaced, but the 7313 is so old you may have trouble finding parts, or finding a technician to work on the machine.

Press C00C or C interupt key 0 interupt key and 41 for developer counter display 42 for developer counter clear 46 for exposure level adjustment 72 for maintenance preset counter setting 25 for automatic developer adjustment. 40 for developer preset counter display.

It could be that the black developer unit is clogged. The toner low sensor is located in the black developer unit. A trained copier tech may be needed to troubleshoot this.

That unit uses an AR-016TD Toner/Developer Cartridge. The developer is changed each time you replace the toner. To remove the drum unit open the right side cover, then the front cover, remove the TD cartridge, loosen the green screw on the front of the developer unit housing just above the TD slot. carefully remove the DV unit without tipping or you will spill out the existing DV. Then you can pull out the drum unit. There may be a green screw on the drum that must be loosened but I don't think so on that particular model. Installation is the reverse of removal.

hi im jules_09,have you tried cleaning all the ruber roller?try cleaning all ruber roller then lubricate al bushing and gears.if there is still a problem check all paper sensor it can be cleaned with alcohol.just soak the paper sensor with alcohol then let dry after a few minute then install it back again in the copier.dont soak the paper sensor in alcohol while it is in the machine.turn of the copier first
