Chasis intrusion is an option in the bios, when U start the pc, press dell to go into the bios, walk trhough the settings ( I think it will be in a section advanced or security) where U can switch off intrusion.

Did U open the case recently?

Chassis intruder, fatal error system halt on asus p5pe-vm.how can i fix it

Hello, you can download a manual here:

http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_775/P5PEVM/#download

Please select your windows version.
Select manual and click on global for download.
Unzip the file before installation.

And remove the cable on the mainboard for the contact on the chassis.
When that is done enter the bios and set the setting for the chassis intruder to off
Read about that in the manual.
The chassis intruder is used by admins to see if the case have been opened
when the case is opened the bios will block the system from booting until the setting in the bios
is set back to normal.

Asus motherboard shows this error on boot: Chassis intruded! Fatal error...System Halted I do not know what seems to be the problem is. Is my motherboard going bad? Could it be one of the attached...

Some computers will have a sensor to indicate that your chassis(case) is open. This sensor can get stuck sometimes and you will need to enter BIOS (setup) and reset it. You should be able to disable this feature in BIOS also and I would as it's not really useful other than having the chassis open and screw up the airflow and raise the temp of the computer internals.

Chassis intrusion

You need to check the chassis intrusion pin setting located on the motherboard. See page 1-30 (Number 11) in your manual.
You need to add a jumper as shown.
The system should no longer halt.

Cheers!

Chassis Intruded, Fatal Error...System Halted

you need to go into the bios of your pc.....usually pressing the delete key when you see the first logo screen after booting up....look for a section that relates to errors and what the bios is supposed to do when it encounters an error.
i.e if you see a line in the bios that says "halt on all errors" disable it and when you next boot up the bios will not stall.

Chassis Intruded, Fatal Error.....System Halted

I'm not familiar with that particulat model, but I'd guess the motherboard has a chassis switch connector, and senses the chassis be open. Could be because: - chassis open (close it), - switch defect (as a workaround, you could short-circuit it, or just unplug it - whichever solution works for you). As another workaround, you can probably disable this switch in BIOS.
