I use Nokia 6600. I can't turn on my phone by pressing the switch on button. Is there any alternate key press? I replace the battery but still can't be turn on. If i plugged in the charger cable, the phone turn on and show the charging is in progress but still can't be turn on.

Switch off your phone
When switching off, press the call button + * + 3 key buttons all at once
when doing this, switch on the phone while pressing all the key buttons
Keep on pressing the key buttons until format settings appear
Remove your fingers from the buttons and wait for it to reach 100%
#Make sure that your phone has full battery, otherwise everything will go wrong

hi, its is possible that the ON key is faulty, all you need to do is to try open the phone and see if you can press the botton yourself or you try give it to some one that has the tools to open up the phone because that is the only way the phone can be turn on...

I had the same problem.
If your battery is not a Original Nokia (Genuine) Battery,then you must replace it with a genuine Nokia battery.
If the problem remains,then you have to Reset your phone

How to do it :
*#7780# (*#rst0*) - This will soft reset your phone. It is different from *#7370# because all data, like contacts, calendar and notes, are not removed.
It will only reset the phone settings, such as profiles, themes and shortcuts.
The default lock code is 12345.(Read Method 3)

To format your cell phone, you need to dial *#7370# and after it gets formatted then just switch off your cell phone and then when your phone gets completely switched off then press and hold the send key (green) and while holding the send key press * (star key) and then number pad key 3 (three) hold them simultaneously and switch your cell phone back on and keep holding those keys till it shows FORMATTING,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Make sure that the battery is fully charged before proceeding.
