Most likely a short. You have to look in the area where engage switch gets blades going. You will find a cut wire or wires that are touching metal. This will kill a battery very quick. Fix wire , tie up wire so this doesn't happen again, and off you go. GOOD LUCK.

While, mowing 50 inch cub cadet tank, zero turn just lost all power and will not start

Check battery voltage is over 12.0 VDC and fuse is intact.

The unit requires Brake ON, PTO OFF, and both steering arms out (neutral) to crank. Cycle the components Brake, PTO, and steering arms and try again.

There are no relays, just switches. The wiring diagram is in the operators manual available no fee download from multiple sources including CubCadet. Some alternative part suppliers include the wiring diagram in the parts list.

Cub Cadet 2166 - Blades will not Dis-engage, installed new PTO Switch

Push PTO switch to OFF. Carefully trace the blue wire from PTO clutch to PTO switch. Likely you will find an abrasion of the insulation allowing contact with chassis (battery negative). You can verify PTO blue wire is shorted to chassis with an ohm meter or use an incandescent automotive test lamp referenced to battery positive.

LT1046 cub cadet blown clutch..what caused this with new Pto switchpto switch froze..replaced it still will not engage blades.what could blow the new clutch

Are you sure it's blown? Run two jumper wires from the battery or power side of the starter solenoid and energize the clutch. If it energizes and clicks, that's eliminated. Did you blow any fuses?

My RZT 50 turns blades on when levers are pulled back instead of shutting of and shuts off when in forward position ? could it be a switch is bad if yes what switch?

Sounds like someone has been working on the wiring, probably trying to bypass the reverse cut out switches . If you follow your steer control lever down under the plastic console covers there will be a switch, one on each steer lever by where it hinges. I don't think the switch is bad because it would not work at all if it was.It is like a door bell switch, when you pull back on the steer control lever it pushes it in and disconects the circuit to the PTO switch and the blades quit until you push them forwards and lets the curent through again. Also check the push pull PTO switch .Every safety switch on the tractor will meet at that switch and plug into it, . That model cub RZT50 has to have the worst switches ever made, but they are available and cheap on ebay. Plunger Switch 430362 430 362 for Cub Cadet Troy Bilt MTD 700 Series 725... After reverse, my cub cadet zero turn mower pto will not re engage the blades. sporadic up to the point of stopping altogether. is it the switch or clutch?

I would guess it is the switch. My Cub Cadet has a safety feature where the blades (PTO) stop when you hit reverse. There is an override where you turn the key back about a quarter turn or so and hit a button right above the key to make the blades run even in reverse. Therefore, I would guess the ignition switch is the problem but I can't be certain. Or it could be the electric switch that engages the PTO.

Zero force 50 Cub Cadet runs fine , but when the mower deck switch is pulled , blades do not turn, does not engage

This would be one of a few different things, first check to make sure the belt is on properly and hasnt came off any pulleys, next check the clutch relay and fuse, next check the pto switch, and if all those check out, check the clutch for engagement, if it tries to engage with pto switch, then it may just need adjusted, if it doesn't try to engage, the clutch will need replaced, but check the other possible causes first.

Cub cadet Z Force 48 inch zero turn blades won't engage

I hope this will help you...under the side panels on each side of the mower, there are "reverse lockout safety switches", they are supposed to stop the blades when both handles are pulled back. If one or both of the switches are out, the deck will not engage. Also, under the right side panel (when sitting on seat) there should be 3 relay switches, the one closest to the motor controls the PTO., if this is out, the PTO will not engage.
