My Korg M50 88 has been freezing consistently since I got it. I finally found out that the capacitors had to be changed which they were by a Korg ( South Africa) approved technician. It was fine for 5 days. It has just started freezing again. I have to reboot it and it goes for a while till it freezes again. The pattern is that the freezing gets progressively more frequent until it freezes within a few seconds of switching on, every time. I really don't know what to do anymore.

It may not be the pedals as the fault can be oriented within the set.
So I think you can open the back of the set and check for all connections to be tight , remove and refit.
If this wont solve it is not adviseable to check this higly intergrated PCB without a help. So consult the Korg service.

Refer to page 222 in your PA800 user manual regarding calibrating the polarity of the damper pedal. The setting in your unit MAY have gotten clobbered.
It is NOT clear if you have a PA800 or M50-88. If you have the latter, then read page 22 of your user manual where it says in certain modes the sustain can be set to affect only certain voices. Again, see if internal parmeter settings may have been clobbered to disable the sustain.

I have a korg pa50sd, but its lcd brightness is too high..how to control this? it is very difficult to read?

There is no adjustment to control the brightness in korg pa50/sd.
It is hardware problem.
-Is the white backlight that is too high?
or
-normal backlight, but words is too dim?

Both of that case, can be caused by damage / change of voltage control for lcd. Perhaps there are parts that are damaged or have changed in value. Typically capacitors etc.
If the backlight is too bright, then the damage is in backlight controller, may transistor or an inverter transformer.
Proceed with the repairs to the experts.

Korg m50 freezes, read in other forums that the problem may be to replace 2 capacitors, do anybody knows wich ones? or have a solution?

Hello, I own a Korg M50 myself and I had the same issue, its a quality control issue at their factory but, I may have a solution for you I found at a Korg forum. the issue is with these teeny cables inside the synth. you open the rear panel and firmly press each teeny cable into the terminals again and re attach and secure them firmly just finger push them all into their teeny sockets. this should stop the freezing I tried it the synth played all night with out freezing . I hope this helps other wise the solution with the capacitors is simple you order a new mainboard but they run about 400 plus. but try my solution it may work for yours this answer comes from a korg tech, he stated 90% of this freezing issue he has encountered has been these loose teeny cabling adapters, hope this helps, Have a great day..

Korg M50 keeps freezing up how to fix took it to repair and it still does it

Well looks like you have a capacitors problem. I had this problem too and a friend soldered two new capacitors in place. You can find information on the korg forum but most important is to know where the capacitors are located
