Being a prior employee at a scale company I will tell you how to calibrate that scale the first thing you need to do is get in contact with the manufacturer once you get in contact with the manufacturer give me the part number when you give them the part number they will give you the book later on how to calibrate the scale

Try weighing an inanimate object, is the weight stable? Maybe you're stabalizing yourself by holding on to something? That will throw it off. all weight must be on the base and not moving to get an accurate reading. If it's still unstable it need new weight sensors and calibration. Probably not a DIY.

Recalibration normally has to be done by the manufacturer. As they have to certify the calibration. Keep in mind, that it is not unusual for your BP to read a bit higher at the doctor's office, than it does at home. It's sarcastically called "White coat hypertension." Which translated means, your blood pressure rises a bit at the doctor's office due to anxiety. Or it's being taken at a different time of day, than you take it at home, in a relaxed atmosphere.

get out the operation manual and look in the index or glossary for the "calibration" routine. it is a failry simple process of recalibration. As these units age the solid state components inside chage a little bit. it needs to be reset, that's all

I do not know this particular scale, but you might try this solution that works with many electronic scales. To activate the scale, lightly tap the scale, placing enough weight on the scale to initiate the electronic process. (A foot tap will do.) Wait for the display to show 0000 (or whatever the ready state display of your unit is), and THEN step on the scale.

Try to remove the battery and re insert it back in to see if it will work. Or hold down the power on/off for about 15 seconds, that should do the job.


If that does not do it, then you have to calibrate the screen. To calibrate the screen, follow the steps below:

1. Turn off your nuvi,
2. Press your finger on the upper left corner of the touch screen,
3. While holding your finger on the touch screen, turn on the nuvi.
4. Continue to hold your finger on the screen for about 30 seconds until the calibration screen appears(white screen with touch dot),
5. Then follow the on screen instructions.

That should do the job for you. hope this helps.

I don't know if the 354 can be calibrated.
