Changing names assigned to extension numbers

Hi

we have a Panasonic KX-T7433 Digital Super Hybrid System with around 120 extension numbers. Staff change their extension numbers from time to time and i need to know how i can change the name/extension number on my phone.

For example, Claire, who was on extension 3221 leaves the company and Mark is assigned her extension. How do i change the name on the phone so that when i dial 3221 it will say 'Mark' instead of 'Claire'?

thank you

I just worked it out.

Press Program
Then **
followed by your passcode (usually 1234)
Then 004
Then press next till you find Mark
Press Shift then the button under Clr
Then enter the name so for Claire start with 2 and swing the jog button round till you get a C, then press 5 and swing the jog button round till you get an l etc..
If you make a mistake press Transfer
Then when you've got your name correct press Auto Dial.

You need to find the mamager's phone, or have the installer access to the first phone in the system. Name changes are done from a programming command in the system.

I have panasonic kx-t7730. How to set the intercom name and number?

Changing the name and extension number can be done through system admin programming from a phone extension allowed by the class of service assigned to that extension by the phone system installer. Typically the attendant phone is allowed this ability. From the programming phone press **1234(1234 is the default password) to access programming. Once in programming dial 003 for extension numbering then press . Enter the current extension number of the phone you want to change followed by the new extension number then press . Lift the handset to end programming. Access programming again by pressing **1234. Dial 004 for extension name programming then press . Enter the new extension number you programmed then enter the name for the extension. Press then lift handset to end programming.

It is possible that your phone has not been assigned an extension number, in that case system installer programming would need to be accessed to assign the port an extension number. The port number the phone is connected to would have to be determined. This could require tracking the wiring back to where it is connected into the phone system. If this is the case I advise calling a qualified service technician.

KX-t7433 operator manual vs Digital Super Hybrid System Manual

I don't exactly see the question in this, but the TD system has FOUR manuals in the set IM, UG, FG and PG. The Installation Manual covers the hardware and how to install it, the Programming Guide gives the commands for programming the system from the main display phone, the Features Guide describes the features, and the User's Manual that you plsted tells how to use the features.

In addition, there's also an Installers software set and a few addendums for integration to voice mail.
