My Motorola V9 says invalid battery even though the phone works ok, though not sure if its charging up ok?

The chargers you are using. Are they Motorola Original parts or from another manufacturer?

Definitely odd that it works with the USB charger but not the wall or car chargers. Can you take it into an at&t corporate store and have them try one of their chargers in the phone. This way we can eliminate if it could be the chargers. Could be something with the charging port on the phone though there is a hole in that theory as the USB charger works.


If you take the battery door off your phone you should see a little white or pink/red paper circle. Which color is it?


How long have you had the phone?

the problem is from the battery.
the battery is bad and needs to be replaced with a new one.
so, go to a nearby motorolla outlet purchase a new battery, charge for an hour before putting ON the phone..
NOTE; do not switch on the phone until the battery is properly charged.

fuzzy screens is one .
dying battery is another.
need to get both fix .manufacturing warranty i think is two year hurry.

Even though the batteries look the same and will fit does not mean they are compatible. I just saw this again at my cell shop today. My razor uses a BR 50. This guys razor needed a BK-70. A BR-50 my partner put in fit, but gave the same message. Your eyes do not deceive you. Make sure the battery model is the same and you are in business. Motorolla batteries have nice big model numbers. I don't have to put my specs on to read it! Happy charging :)

You might try backing up all data(contacts, pictures, video, music, etc) and then "hard" reset the device. You might able to "hard" reset the device w/out help from your carrier. Just check your settings for any "reset" options. After you have successfully reset the device back to factor default, try the battery again.

If you are still experiencing problems, check with your wireless carrier for a software update. If the software is corrupt, it will give you glitches such as you are experiencing. Worse case scenario is you have to replace your device.

Do this and see if this works

Pull out the battery when the phone is turned ON(remove the battery when the phone is working.)

wait for like 15 to 20 seconds

Put the battery again and turn the phone ON

it sounds like a one in a million defective battery goto service phone tech show them your receipt and have them replace this battery
