Can you kindly let me know the settings on your modem and router. Whether they are connected via using bridging mode or ppoe mode. In order to find this simply enter 192.168.1.1 in your browser and enter user id as admin and password as admin and hit enter. In advanced lan settings just click on first right hand side edit button and click next and see wether ppoe is selected or bridging is selected in order to ascertain the ip of wifi modem simply click on start button when connected to internet via wifi modem and select run type cmd and hit enter in the black window type tracert www.google.com wait for few seconds the first ip in the list will be your modems ip. use the same method as described above to find which way is it connected to server bridging or ppoe.

I have a BT hub, which is OK except that I cannot get a wireless signal in some rooms (thick house walls), When I was with Orange I used my TP-Link router sited in the loft (bugalow) and swapped over cable when I wanted to use it. I cannot do this since going to BT, I have tried resetting & setting up TP Link router (as per manual)but it doesn't connect?? HELP
