On the 1998 Town and Country, the neutral safety switch is inside the transmission . If you are not of the faint of heart, remove the bottom transmission pan and the lower valve body (do not loose any springs or little shiny steel balls), take the old one out and put the new one in and make sure to put the valve body in. The part costs around $50.00. A reputable shop will do it for less than $300.00.

I've looked around online and i dont see anywhere selling bodies for your phone. sorry :/

Contact the nearest service center of your phone and you can buy a new panel or body to your phone..
The service center will have original panels only..
You can also buy duplicate panels for cheap price..

because your phone back body is loosed so the booten can't touch.

Changing body, I guess you meant housing is not a bad Idea especially financial wise. Just make sure you get the original housing.

Hi, i think the body of the phone might be broken and it's allowing the screw area to be loosed, that's why you need to press before someone can hear you.

In cases like this, you will have to check the screws first if they are firm enough holding the phone, and also if the body of the phone is not broken somewhere around that area.

If is the screw, check if it needs to be tighten or replaced.

For the body, if broken you will need to get a new body to replace the old one.

Or better steal, you can use a rubber band to hold it.

this is normally a flex/ribbon problem. theese nokias suffer from this. it will require dismantling the handset. it may just be a loose connection or it may need a new ribbon. good news is they are not expensive to buy.

Old body style or new body style?

New body style...there should be a bar type thing that holds it in place.

Old body style, there are two different styles. One where you can take the headlight out without pulling the bumper cover off, and the other where you need to pull the bumper cover off.

Wiggle the assembly around while looking for any areas where screws seem to be missing.

When replacing an old broken antenna with a new one, say purchased off of Ebay, simply rip out the extendable part with a pair of pliers then rip out the plastc body that is attacked to the body of the cell phone(needle nose pliers work good because you can get one of the points on the inside whole of the antenna casing). I initially took off all the back screws underneith the battery and the one under the QuallCom link cover on the back and cut away at some plastic with an Exacto knife. This may not be a necessary step. Then you simply slide the new antenna in the phone making sure that the plastic tube is in place in side the phone. thanks for reading, hope this helps.
