I lost the operators manual! I have the head set paired and have used it. How do I switch back to just answering my cell phone?

THEIR ARE BASICALLY TWO TYPES OF CARRIERS ON CELL TOWER CARRIER A OR CARRIER B. EITHER ONE OF THEM OR BOTH COULD BE TRANSMITTING ZTE SERVICE.. SUGGEST CALLING YOUR CELL PHONE SERVICE PROVIDER AND SEE IF THEY CAN MAKE ADJUSTMENTS ON YOUR PHONE. NORMALLY #611 AND HIT SEND WILL DO.
IF YOU WANT TO TEMPORARY GET A STRONGER SIGNAL US A CHEAP PAIR OF EAR BUDS OR HEAD SET. EAR BUDS ARE AROUND A DOLLAR AT MOST DOLLAR STORES.

First, you will have to come back into the vehicle and switch on to get the kit under power supply.

With your mobile, just switch off and retreive the battery of the phone during a minute and put it on again. You will see something happening a research of the phone to pair automatically.

If not, you can try to go to settings- > paired device and then select your phone broadcasted and connect. You will see an answer and get an idea.

But you can also rebuild the pairing between both devices, then delete the phone paired and use a specific menu into settings -> advanced settings -> pair with phone and select one of them.

You can download the manual from the proprietry website (http://www.farant.com/bck08a_manual.html ) but essentialy press and hold the multifunction (on/off) button till it flashes blue and red alternatively. It tells you what to do from there.

You may need to reset your Bluetooth devices. Please follow the steps below:

- Delete BT8040 from cell your phone. (if listed)
- Turn your cell phone off completely, and remove battery for 10 seconds. Please consult your phone provider prior to removing battery.
- Connect the BT8040 headset to the charger for 10 seconds then unplug.
- Place the battery back into your phone and power your phone on.
- Remove the headset from the AC cord.
- Turn off the headset by pressing the answer/end button until the light flashes rapidly then release.
- Press the answer/end button until you receive a solid blue light. This may take up to 10 seconds.
- Go into the Bluetooth menu on your cell phone and follow the cell phone’s instruction guide for pairing a Bluetooth headset. This generally involves going into a “devices” or “hands free” menu and adding a new device. Your phone may ask if you want to pair with the headset, accept by pressing “yes” or “OK” and confirm with the passkey or PIN 0000 (4 zeros).

dude on the device u want to pair. then go tu bluetooth connectivity menu of ur cell and go fr my devices. ter search fr ur device and add it ter..
ter u go ready to use...

disconnect it on the phone and repair. it will ask for a new security code....

go on ur phone and go 2 bluetooth pairing. before u click pair, turn on ur headphones and hold the multi function( button w/ play button and phone symbols) button until flashes blue and red lights simultaneously. once flashing, enter and start bluetooth paring on ur phone. the code is 0000. enjoy using ur bluetooth.
