Hey

I just figured this out! On the bottom right hand of the screen there is a an icon (near the battery meter) that says Dell Touch Pad. Open that screen and it lets you pick the scrolling and zoom settings. You can turn the zoom function off and it won't happen anymore

also if ur taskman hide automatically then u have selected the option of hide auto hide taskbar to iunselect u have to right clcik on taskbar then select properties then unslect auto hide taskbar it will get normal

still any probs in it inform me

Why do my icons don't appear in the lower right, I would like to reinstall day date calander and time

It is not very obvious. The bar at the bottom of screen is your 'Task Bar'
1. Find an empty part of your Task Bar and Right Click on it
2. Select Properties
3. Near the bottom of the menu in 'Notification Area' tick Box 'Show clock'
While you are there, it shows all icons that are on your Task Bar. If empty find the 'Hide Tasks' box and untick
4. Tick Apply and OK

Sidebar has suddenly moved to side affecting size of screen. How do I return it to bottom???

You are probably talking about the windows Task bar that normally resides at the bottom of the screen:
.
Two ways of moving this task ba, to top/bottom/letft/right position of the display:
  1. Move the cursor on a blank/inactive area on the task bar, usually in the largest blank area towards the right, click and hold the right mouse button and drag the Task bar to the bottom of the screen.
  2. Go to the Task Bar 'Properties' (You can get this context menu by clicking the left mouse button after putting the cursor on a blank/inactive area on the task bar) and change the 'Task bar location on screen' option.
Hope it helps: let me know how you go.

ON mini 10 the bottom of the display doesn't show, where the start button is.

you might have change the location of the start menu or called task bar, try to press the windows logo key on the keyboard to show up the task bar. if it shows up you can drag it to the bottom of screen. if it is locked and cannot be dragged, right click on it and remove the check mark on lock the task bar.

How do you zoom in again like it was before?

If you are using MS Internet Explorer you should find a zoom control at the right hand side of the bar at the very bottom of the screen.

Click the down arrow and select 100%

I HAVE A WINDOW XP HOME EDITION AND WHEN I START MY COMPUTER THE ONLY THING THAT COMES UP IS THE BACKGROUND. THERE ARE NO ICONS OR A BAR AT BOTTOM OF SCREEN.

the icons and the bar(task bar) at the bottom of the screen are enabled by the explorer.exe file

it starts automatically but in your case it is not starting

to start it when your computer starts and comes at the desktop, press alt+ctrl+delete button at the same time to bring up the task manager

when you do this a task manager shows up in a window

in task manager window click on file, it will be located on the top left portion on task manager

now click on "new task(run)"

this opens another window, in that window type
"explorer"
without the quotes "" and press enter
this will bring you icons and task bar at the bottom of the screen

Task bar is missing on bottom of screen after pc wakes up.

mine does this with windows 7, right click on desktop and open 'personalize' then open 'taskbar and start menu'
From here choose to move your taskbar location to the side of the screen and click apply. it should return, then just tell it to go back to the bottom.
