yeah. my suggestion is get rid of the Ion and but something that wont break on you. numark and stanton make affordable turntables that wont **** out on you.
you might need a driver check there site. I personally dont deal or own anything made by ion and ive been djing for years. but im guessing there might be some driver you would need since vista is weird like that. good luck if you got any questions feel free to email me at [email protected]
If you're using the RCA cables, how is the switch set on the TT?

2. RCA Audio Output Cables: These cables should be plugged into a CD or Auxiliary input on your computer. IMPORTANT:
There is a switch on the bottom panel, next to the RCA cables that selects between PHONO/LINE. Use PHONO level for
plugging into a turntable input on a home stereo. Use the LINE level for plugging into CD/AUX/TAPE inputs. WARNING: You
may damage your receiver if you plug in a LINE level into a PHONO input.
READ your quick start booklet. You need to go to control panel, open sound, there are three tabs- choose playback and make sure that the selected speaker is not USB Audio Codec-choose your speakers. In the Record Tab selcect USB Audio Codec.
