Nikon Coolpix L110 camera was bought for me for Christmas 2010. Worked fine at first, but now seems to be having problems. Batteries don't last. I just bought new batteries in Feb/March this year because ones from Christmas didn't hold a charge for some reason. Now the ones I just bought recently won't let camera do more than turn on, but then it goes black and / or says "battery exhausted" before it shuts off. I am using Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA batteries. Husband tested them and batteries show FULL CHARGE so it seems to be the camera. Does it matter if I'm using a Sony batter charger from a previous camera to charge batteries? It doesn't seem like that would matter, but a lady in the photo dept. at Walmart told me that you can't use a Sony charger for a Nikon camera. HELP!

You have to charge the batteries for nearly 8-10 hours. Brand new batteries also require a full recharge of 8-10 hours. Not only making sure the batteries are charged, have you changed the battery in the menu under type of batteries.

Nikon L110 battery getting discharge in few clicks

It could be a bad battery charger circuit in your camera. Try charging your batteries in an external charger. Adorama.com sells an Delcon Devices external battery charger for $9.95. If that works, your problem is solved. If not, you will need to send the camera to Nikon USA for repair.

Camera lens is stuck in open position and even if I remove the batteries and replace them, there's no activity whatsoever. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

This is a problem you will not be able to fix yourself. Contact the Nikon USA repair depot nearest you for a repair estimate. Go to the Nikon website for the closest one. Once you have an estimate, you can decide if it pays to have it repaired. Remember, prices have come down since you bought your L110.

Konica Minolta keeps taking blurry photos? i dont know what i have pressed?

I'm curious, did you know:

Please be informed upon the termination of the Agreement between Sony Corporation and Konica Minolta Photo Imaging, Inc.. Konica Minolta will cease the entire customer services for Konica Minolta cameras and related products, as of 31 December, 2010.
After 1 January, 2011, the Repair Service Providers will continue support for the repair service independently.

here is a link to this: http://ca.konicaminolta.com/support/repair/index.html

On another note, and to try to help gain a solution to your problem...

My camera (the Nikon Coolpix L110) uses special batteries made by Nikon and they are very adamant on not using other battery brands... in fact, using other brands may negate their warranty. Is it possible yours also requires a special battery?

I ask because I'm having the same problems with my camera and just learned of the special Coolpix batteries. I guess I should have read the instructions more thoroughly,.. but I don't recall seeing this before tonight while I was looking for a solution to my own problem; blurry pictures as well.

I'm going to try the Coolpix batteries to see if this helps. Perhaps you might do the same if you find yours also uses a special battery. Good luck!

I have a Nikon Coolpix L110. I made the mistake of taking pictures without putting in my memory card and now my photos are stuck in my internal memory. I cannot locate the cable I have to connect to my...

No sorry, you cannot transfer the pictures from internal memory to the memory card. You can buy a USB cable online on that big auction site (they don't pay me, I don't write their name) for about $5 including shipping. Don't pay $35 at a retail store for one whatever you do!

I think i need a new LCD screen for my Nikon Coolpix L110. The glass cover on the outside is perfectly fine, it is something underneath that is cracked. How much will something like this cost?

The installation of a new LCD and return shipping of the camera is about $75. Here's a link for you:

The pop up flash stopped working on my Nikon Coolpix L110 camera. Camera still works, but without the flash, the pictures are less than desirable. What can I do to correct this problem?

Check your settings first. If this still doesn't work then you'll have to take/send your camera to an authorized Nikon service center.

Changed batteries in a coolpix l110 and cant get anything to work. No power and lens wont retract. tried everything in manual thus far with no results.

What type of battery did you use with your camera? Is the type your L110 support? Seems your camera use AA batteries, but not all of the AA battery which can put into your camera is OK. many cameras only support Li-ion battery or Alkaline batteries

How to get nikon coolpix L110 driver for win7?

You don't need a driver.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Windows Photo Gallery, Picasa, or Nikon Transfer.
