SOURCE: Brother MFC-9840CDW - checking toner level

On my APPLE the MAC OS driver depicts the toner levels when I check the printer status under the settings and preferences - printers icon - supply levels is an optional choice. I have not found a way to check the levels on an XP system.

SOURCE: Brother MCF-6490CW will not intall drivers with Windows 7 Ultimat

The drivers should come inboxed with windows 7 on the official final versions. Later on the drivers also will be released on brother's homepage(s), but they usually take some time before uploading drivers to the homepage when new OS' are released. Try using the Add Printer Wizard and see if you're able to find the MFC-6490CW in the list of printers available.

I have a brother all in one mfc 8460n and I just got a new apple laptop computer and installed windows 7 on it and i need to get my printer to work from my laptop. it works from the desktop computer but...

Wow, you've got two issues here. First of all is the Brother compatible with Apple and is it compatible with Windows 7?? Sounds like you need to go to brother's website and see if there are drivers for Apple and for Windows 7.

Get onlineand got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "BrotherSupport" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operatingsystem when requested. Download and install the drivers.

Part number brother 9840cdw fuser

Part# LU4103001
About $150
The service manual will be hard if not impossible to find. They only release those to factory authorized service centers. If you just need it for the fuser replacement instructions then often those will be either in the operators manual which is easy to find or the instructions will be in the box that the fuser comes in.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.
