Saeco Vienna - I turned on the coffee machine and instead of the usual whirling of the parts getting into place, it sounds like it is struggling to get into place. I looked inside and the bar is down where it dumps coffee into the dump box. It took a few times of turning it on/off to get it to lift up, I took out the brew group, and the area where the coffee gets pressed won't line up with the hole. When I press on the part that holds the packed coffee, it will pop into place. Do I need a new brew group, or is this just a sign I need to replace a fuse?

I appreciate the comment, however, I don't know what "the board" is. But, the cycling is more than slow, it sounds like a gear is grinding, or like the "batteries" are low, that kind of slow cycling.

I don't know if I agree it is the brew group, so what else can cause this to occur? Where can I find info on the reference you gave of the board?

    Thanks.

I have a similar issue to this. if I push the brew button, the beans grind and the brew unit starts compacting the coffee, but then it seems to be grinding its gears (almost as if it isn't stopping or the switch isnt being toggled to tell it it can stop now... the coffee is compressed already) If i open the door (the door button also seems to be stuck) and I push the compactor a little harder up, it stats brewing.

Hi Its hard to say with what you have said, but if the brew unit was cycling slowly, it may be the board. Close the door and make sure that everything is in but the brew unit. Turn the machine on and see if it cycles the gear in back to the starting point. It may take a few minutes to cycle if its the board. If it returns its the board. I have some boards.

Saeco Vienna coffee when the machine starts the coffee dispensing

Is it leaking only when brewing coffee ?

If not I would check the seal under the water tank (Part #NM05.006)

If so, I would check the following:

1- The water input port on the back of the brew unit (looks like a smoke pipe) might be clogged

2- The o-ring of the water tubes coming in and out of the boiler.

Saeco Vienna Superautomatica will not make a full cup of coffee

Hi,
I'm wondering if you had any luck solving this? After 3 years of great coffee, my machine is only making a 1/4 cup or so. All parts are clean. I'm guessing something on the circuit board that the dial is attached to....thanks!

My Saeco Vienna at times seems to extract a cup of coffee extremely slowly (drips out). The next cup will come out at a normal rate. I've tried the grind at various settings, but the problem remains. Any...

HI You might need new burrs. When the burrs get dull, they will crush the beans instead of grinding them into small grounds. You start to get powder instead of grinds. They will slow the extraction, but then the next time they will produce the correct shot.

Saeco Vienna No creme' and can't lessen amt. of water in shot

Hi
Have you taken apart the brew unit lately? If so you did not put it back together correctly. Sounds like you have lost the crystal ball or you installed the spring upside down, in the brew head.

Coffee jam

Are you getting any coffee at all? Sounds like your doser door/channel and grinder may be blocked by damp coffee. To remedy this situation, the grinder (and doser door/channel) would have to be cleaned. This is best done by an authorized SAECO Service Center. Saeco Vienna Deluxe odd burning smell

gears are probably broke. Happens when to much coffee and coffee ground too fine get compacted into the brew drive unit.

Shreds the plastic gears like butter.

Machine has to be sent out for service, gear replacement is long and impossible for anyone untrained. Trained techs it takes at least an hour if not more.
