SOURCE: Front door is locked and I can't get it open

Hello shoya_garris,

There is a manual release tab you can use to open the door. Make sure you unplug it first. Remove the bottom front service panel. Carefully reach up and pull the manual release tab on the bottom of the door lock assembly until you hear it click. Wear some gloves there can be sharp edges on the inside of the machine panels. Hope this helps.

Thanks,

SOURCE: Kenmore Elite HE3 front load washer door locking mechanism issue

1. Remove the lower panel under the door by loosening the three screws under the bottom edge on the front of the washer. HINT: If you prop up the front feet of the washer with some small blocks of wood, this will make access to the screws much easier.
2. With the screws removed, the lower panel should drop down then come off. If the panel sticks, a light tap on either side will knock it loose.
3. Reach your hand up inside the washer behind the front casing on the right-hand side. This is where the door latch assembly is located.
4. At the bottom of the door latch assembly is a small pull tab. This is the manual release for the door. Pull the tab straight down and the door will come open.

Sometimes these doors will not unlock for whatever reason. If there are no error codes being generated, this could have just been a momentary glitch. If you see "Fdl" or "Fdu" error codes, these are usually indications of a failed door latch assembly and will require replacement.

Kenmore elite oven door shows door locked how to unlock it

https://www.hunker.com/12438447/how-to-unlock-a-locked-oven-door-on-a-kenmore-range

How to Unlock Locked Oven Door on Kenmore Range Hunker

Quoting from the link shown:
Step 1 Read the display on the electronic oven controls, where the clock and timer normally appear. If the display reads "CLN" while the "Door Locked" light is on, the Kenmore range is in self-clean mode. When the Kenmore range is in self-clean mode, you must stop the cleaning process before the door will unlock.
Step 2 Stop the self-cleaning process by pressing and holding the "Stop/Clear" button for three seconds. The oven lock should disengage after three seconds. In some cases, a malfunction between the control panel and the locking mechanism prevents the door from unlocking.
Step 3 Hold the light switch for several seconds if the "Stop/Clear" button fails to unlock the range door. Engaging the light switch for several seconds resets the entire locking mechanism and overrides the "Stop/Clear" button.

Oven door locked

Many Kenmore ovens have a control lock that keeps the oven door locked even when the self-clean cycle has not been in use. This feature is meant to prevent children from opening the door or using the controls on the oven. To cancel the oven lockout, push and hold "Stop" for three seconds. Wait 15 seconds for the oven door to unlock automatically.

Reset
After verifying that the oven lockout feature has been released and waiting at least an hour after a self-clean cycle, if the oven door remains locked, try to reset the oven. Disconnect power to the range, and wait 30 seconds. Restore power and try again. If the door remains locked, disconnect the power and try to reset the circuit breaker or fuse. Contact Kenmore if the door remains locked after both attempts at a power reset at 800-827-6655.

My washer begins the cycle and than stops and does not unlock when i stop it

Possible that fault is connected with the controller unit. The door is not released even after the cycle hass completed and so there can be some delay in releasing the same. You can try and see if the connections from the controller unit is intact. Also make sure the door locks are free.
Check this link for some clues: washer door lock.

I meant to set the pre-heat on my 26 year old Kenmore oven but turned the dial to the clean by mistake. Now the door is locked. What can I do to release the lock?

Set selector knob it to clean, push in and turn the Stop time ahead. Wait for the motor to complete latching the door. turn selector to "Off" and wait for motor to unlatch door. If it's stuck you can either manually unlatch it from above or rear or use a coathanger wire made into a hook to catch and release the door "hook"
